I was here with my family and it has been a great experience. Kelseigh was helping us with the orders. It was my first time having thai food. I had doubts. But a spoon of chicken noodle soup had washed away all my doubts and devoured entire cup by myself. We also ordered crab ragoons, chckn satay, chicken noodle soup, pad thai and pineapple fried rice everything slapped. We eneded our dinner with mango sticky rice and had to pair it with ice cream. My overall experience was good and since the visit i have been craving for thai food and visiting thai places in chicago.
We had been wanting to try this Blue Orchid Thai for a long time and finally made it in for lunch on my wife’s name day special they promote on social media. Since her name qualified for their special promotion, we received $25 off, which was an incredible deal. I ordered the lunch special, and upgraded to the Tom Kha soup which was fantastic. My entrée was the basil rice with chicken, which was delicious as well. My wife ordered the Blue Orchid Fried Rice and the Pad Thai, which was Tuesday’s special for only $13. Thanks to the birthday name promotion, she was also able to get the Blue Orchid Fried Rice for just $5. The service was outstanding. Emma was fantastic—she explained everything clearly, was very patient, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We came early for lunch, and there were only a couple of other guests, but the restaurant filled up quickly. The manager, Shena, was also warm and welcoming. She stopped by our table to greet us as first-time customers, gave us a coupon for a future visit, and provided helpful information before we left. Great food, excellent service, and amazing value. We had a family dinner there with 11 of us there. We had reservations and they put us in a PDR which was nice server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food did take awhile to come at least 45-50 minutes. My red curry with shrimp and chicken was delicious but I think $31 is pretty expensive for the plate. Some of our party did not like their dishes and some did. Overall nice but a little too expensive and service would need to be quicker.
My server’s name was Carissa. She checked on me often. She was very polite. Food came out quickly. It was hot & fresh.

Eli was an excellent, attentive and personable server. Crab Rangoons were a hit! Pad Thai best ever and ginger garlic stir fry excellent. drunken noodles very tasty but the 1 for heat was still very spicy. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Our corner table for 4 was especially nice for comfort and conversation. Oh let’s not forget the drinks! Best Lemon drop i have had and i have had a lot! Overall great family experience.

The food was the best. So fresh. So tasty. The portions were HUGE! As someone who doesn’t drink I really appreciated the good mocktail! Emma was AMAZING!!! She was so kind, fast, and super polite. She helped explain the menu to us. You would never know she just started here. 10/10 will be coming back for the food and to see Emma again!!!
