If you are in Memphis you must visit here, and remember they give 5% off everything (including ammo) for military & veterans. Call ahead and book reservations for the restaurant on top of the pyramid! They also have a hotel you can stay at inside. Truly an awesome experience.
This is definitely a cool landmark to visit, though I found it a little bit overrated. You can't get a feel for how big the place is inside since there's stuff all along each wall and a restaurant taking up the top of the pyramid. There were tons of signs in the parking lot saying to lock your vehicle and bring valuables with you, which tells you what kind of area it's in. Overall not a bad place to visit but left underwhelmed.
This was the biggest bass pro shop I have ever been too. Maybe it's the biggest one that actually exists according to the people. I'd have to look it up to see if it's TRUE. But this place was amazing. And you can go to the top of the pyramid for $10.95. They have a fudge shop, hotel, restaurant, duck museum, live animals, you name it and its here. You will love this place!
Had dinner at The Lookout. The Filet Mignon was excellent. Mashed potatoes were perfect. Service was incredible. The views were spectacular. The store itself if unique like every other Bass Pro, but it was an experience in and of itself. The recreation of the cypress swamp right on the show room floor, complete with alligators, is breathtaking. There are wild life exhibits everywhere, along with dioramas and other little insights into our natural world. If you have never been to a Bass Pro, go. If you love Bass Pro, don't miss this chance to check out the Pyramid. It's awesome.
What a spectacular experience. This place is just amazing. Literally like a whole different world in there. Fish tanks , alligators , ponds and all the different things to see...we ate inside at Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl and Grill, sat at the bar and enjoyed a great snack . The view from there is just a lot of fun....a must see place for everyone...
BRANDED ANGLER'S SPECIALTY SUPPLY PROfessionals: went here as part of checking out the outdoor equipment available for expanding the joy of being in the outdoors. I have visited this place once in the past some years back but it was part of a holiday outing. During this visit I was able to focus on what it offers for recreational and the serious outdoors person. The place function as more that a retailer but an "indoor" outdoors experience. It has a multitude of attractions to see while perusing for items to purchase or as part of a traveler's visit while in town. There are ponds with various fish species, an alligator display, fowl, various outdoor sports related arcade games, beautiful scenic wildlife decor and plenty of outdoors related supplies and clothing. Stop in and check it out and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the "indoor" outdoors...
Such a cool place. We spent probably 2 hrs wondering around, rode the elevator, watched lady scuba dive and clean the pond, watched the fish and just looked all around. Pretty cool! Totally recommended checking the place out. It's something to do!
even if you're not interested in Sportsmans' "things" this is TOTALLY worth a visit. Everything from fudge to great clothes to toys to home decor available in a stunningly decorated facility. I went with a school group and rode their tallest freestanding glass elevator in America to the observation deck at the pinnacle of the pyramid. Great fun and great views.
Very cool place! Can't say that I'm much of a sportsman, but there really is something here for everyone. Lots of shopping, restaurants, ponds, outdoor education stuff, even a hotel where the rooms look like tents and treehouses. I went mainly for the top of the pyramid view of Memphis and was happy with what I saw.
Cool experience, not everyday you get to go into an establishment that’s in a pyramid. Plus BPS is amazing to begin with. I will say it would’ve been cool to have seen an NBA game there but this for sure isn’t a bad replacement.
