The store itself is very cool like all bass pro shops but $10 to take the freestanding elevator to the top was a treat with incredible views of the river and city skyline. I wish I hadn’t left my binoculars in the truck. I don’t know if it would be worth it for kids, they might be bored. I think they were more interested in all of the aquariums. My husband and I were fascinated by the metal fish, frogs and gators hanging in the restaurant at the top. I posted several pictures of those. This is definitely a destination venue. There are cabin themed hotel rooms and suites on the upper levels with amazing views and balconies. A bowing alley, shooting range and spa. The two restaurants receive low ratings but the food we saw at the restaurant looked good. We didn’t eat there because they use latex gloves and we have a family member with latex allergies. But all of the employees were so nice and answered all of our questions about the pyramid, the art and the Aquarium in the middle of the bar.
Love this place!!! I love the rooftop deck and you can see so much of the city and the Mississippi River. Great place to see the sunset over the river. We had drinks at the bar, but the menu is pricey. The elevator ride is $10.00 to go to the top. Well worth it if it's your first time. They have 2 floors of rooms that you can stay.
Good visit to the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid in Memphis, during my family's drive home to Missouri from Destin, Florida, 3 years ago. Just like their original store in Springfield, Missouri, the interior of this store looked rather beautiful. And yes, we did also ride up the elevator, which provided us an opportunity for a panoramic view of the city of Memphis from the top of the Pyramid! We finished off this visit strong with some rather delicious fudge! Again, this visit was 3 years ago.
This was a very cool experience! The only thing that would have given 5 stars would be a free ride to the top and not to charge 10 bucks a trip up....also an employee sent us to the wrong dept, but I'm not discouraged from shopping again. Loved the wildlife too.
Amazing outdoor outfitters. The scale of this property is awesome. Anything you could imagine related to the outdoors is under this roof. They also have a large variety of fish tanks and artificial ponds filled with fishes of all sorts. There are also a lot of wildlife mounts to admire. Be sure to spend the eight bucks to visit the lookout!
Cool looking place for outdoor enthusiasts! Visually very unique and quite an experience when you take in the view at the top of the pyramid. FYI - does cost $10 per person to go to the top observation. Some great views of the city on the observation decks and worth the $10 to do it once. Had a beer at the bar at the top and seemed fairly nice with a large circular aquarium and metal hanging sculptures. The floor level was mainly shopping with lots of outdoor scenery that looks pretty cool. There's also a hotel and bowling but didn't experience either. Overall worth the visit.
Shockingly spacious with a ceiling that is hard to comprehend at first glance. Beautifully recreated cypress swamp with huge catfish, sturgeon and a variety of smaller fish swimming about. Many of the display boats are actually floating at docks indoors. Lodging inside is a separate 3rd level that surrounds the interior providing each resident with an overlook. Genius design. You must take the elevator to the upper overlook, bar and restaurant. You can order off the same menu from the bar so reservations are not a must. Glass floor panels at the overlook areas add another layer of awe to the experience, and a touch or vertigo for a few. Had an Old Fashioned and Margarita at the bar, perfectly made. Elk sliders were delicious and well seasoned. Everything coming out of the open kitchen looks amazing. Great service and impeccable attention to detail sets this upper level in a class by itself.
Love the look of the inside, great for pictures. The observation deck on the top level is cool. The restaurant on the top level seemed better than the restaurant called Fish Bowl on the lower level. The food there is no good and all of our dishes were lukewarm. It took a long time to come out so I expected it to be hot and fresh.
Def a unique twist on a what seems like a cooker cutter... But def had some new an cool stuff. Very unique.... def must take the elevator an tour the top. awesome view including the night sky. An the food was to die for, the blackened red fish was GREAT
