Drive over 200 miles to try it. And super disappointed. The Chè was supposed to be sweet, but it was very pale and almost tasteless. I ordered 3 Ice Cream Mochi and look at what they did... put them in a nylon bag?? Cmon guys, this is 2021 already, please do not do it. Never come back again.
I live in Taiwan and have high bubble tea standards, and I like Bambu and think they’re a good bubble tea option in KC! We’re visiting friends and today, my friend ordered for my husband & I via GrubHub. We specifically ordered “2 large chai teas with light ice in each”. We were really disappointed to find that both of our chai teas had full ice and were not even filled to the top (see image). They basically were the size of a regular drink, with about 1 inch of space from the top. My friend also used a discount she had but didn’t get the full value (since two out of our four ordered drinks were not filled to the top). In the store, we have had good service, but I’d be hesitant to place another order through a delivery service after today. Chai tea is great though (I usually get 1/2 sweet)!
Cute shop with many dessert items, tried chè for the first time and it tasted good to drink and looked pretty. Love how many unique flavor combinations there are
Asked and paid for Boba with drink and was told it would be 10 minutes until boba was ready when ordered. Waited 35 minutes and left without the drink we paid for. We were the only people in the store and they were hiding in the back the whole time We came here often in the past and was much better…
Friendly service but terrible drinks. I bought two taro milk teas with boba it did not taste good. Not sure if they are using powder for flavors but it wasn’t mixed well and I could feel small particles in the drink. Don’t know how the food is. Food might be good but the drinks are not good definitely not worth the money.
We only got dessert drinks so I can’t rate food but the prices are really good. We plan to come back to try other things. Really enjoyed the Bambo halo halo Parking available in the back.
Went here for a soft opening and my oh my! Love the desserts, boba tea, smoothie and coffee here so far! I'm so glad that KC has a che place. The price is very reasonable as well. This place is going to be my go to spot since it is close to where I live and work. Friendly staffs and cleanliness too. Good vibes. There's not a lot of seating if this place is pack but you can always grab and go too. What is che? "Chè" is a general Vietnamese word to describe any traditional Vietnamese sweet beverage, which is usually available in the form of pudding, or as a plain drink. It usually have fruits, vegetables, beans, seeds, glutinous rice and tapioca powder, and is often topped with coconut milk. It is located near KU Med and plenty of parking behind the building. If you have a chance to venture out to something new, go try this place out.
I really enjoyed this place! The che fruit addict was really good, not too sweet, and the matcha crepe cake was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the establishment was clean and well kept! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu items!
The food and service at Bambu is incredible!! Highly recommend halo halo ❤ so delicious!! The taro waffle is also easily good with halo halo! Dessert drinks like none other!
I've been to Bambu several times now and all the people there are pretty amazing. Cute and clean interior. Their Thai tea is one of the best in KC. I really like the taro milk tea. It's very creamy; it's worth trying if you like taro! I also like the create your own che feature. I can choose up to 5 add ins and a base of coconut milk or coconut juice. Both bases are good!
