Agalliu Contracting

I recently hired Agalliu Contracting to renovate and design my kitchen and bathroom in my new home in Staten Island. These guys are extremely responsive, reliable and professional in their work especially during this COVID pandemic. They did an excellent job at following the new guidelines and were always wearing masks and kept my home sterile during their working hours and left my home clean after every work day. The project manager Ilir made sure to check temperatures and logs of whoever was in my home working to be extra cautious of anyone possibly showing symptoms. Matt, the owner, made sure the job was done to my satisfaction and met with me at each checkpoint to ensure all parts of the project ran smoothly. The Agalliu Contracting crew was a pleasure to work with and I will hire them again to renovate other sections of my home. I highly recommend them!

When we decided we were going to renovate our kitchen, our neighbors referred Agalliu to us. Within a few days, we had a contract in place and Matt and his team were ready to go. His vendors and subcontractors were accommodating and very easy to work with. It’s like we have a brand new apartment! Agalliu did an incredible job and they did it quickly. I highly recommend them for your next home renovation.

When I bought my apartment and decided I wanted to renovate I interviewed 6 contractors. Matt was hands down the most knowledgeable, affordable, and professional. There was nothing he couldn't/wouldn't do, and I felt very comfortable with him. From the start, Matt was so helpful and honest. I was very delayed with my renovation because of covid, and pregnant, and very stressed out. He always calmed me down, and took care of everything. I loved all of the people who worked with him, painters, electrician, tile guys, plumber, and most importantly, his amazing father. They were all incredibly professional and did exquisite work, and I'm going to miss seeing everyone! Matt was always available too! I ended up ripping down walls, replacing pipes and doors, adding recess lighting throughout the whole apartment, everything. They worked in a timely manner, and if something needed to be fixed or moved it was done immediately. They even helped me put my crib together and hang some art. If they were unhappy with something, they would literally lose sleep over it until it was fixed. I am so excited to finally move into my dream home with my new baby, and I couldn't be more thankful for Matt and his team. I couldn't recommend a better contractor. My parents loved him too! I met Matt in the summer of 2021 in anticipation of a renovation of my kitchen and upstairs bathroom. We delayed that project - which was disappointing for Matt - but a few months later in September my basement was severely flooded during Hurricane Ida and needed to be completely demo'd and redone. When the insurance adjuster came out a week later he recommended I get started on the demo asap b/c of mold risks. At this point I hadn't spoken to Matt in a few months but I called him and told him what happened and he came out the next day. In the span of a day we hammered out terms. I preferred to source my own materials (tiles, fixtures, etc.) and so we struck a deal. Matt's team came by and demo'd the place within a couple of days. Over the course of the next few months we ran into all kinds of issues with the house that needed to be addressed. Mold testing, foundation waterproofing, sewer trap replacement - things outside the scope of the contract that I took care of in order for Matt's team to do their part. I enjoyed working with Matt and am very pleased with the outcome. Our goal was to rebuild with an eye to the next possible storm/flood. We used durable materials, either water proof or water resistant. We chose fixtures that would be off the floor (a bathroom vanity on tall legs instead of a cabinet style vanity, etc.). While I "designed" the space, I reached out to Matt constantly for his opinion and suggestions. Matt is trustworthy and fairly priced and I would definitely recommend you give him a call if you are looking at a renovation.

Agalliu Contracting exceeded all expectations with their meticulous renovation of my kitchen, living and dining rooms. My 1908 brick colonial was ripe for an overhaul after problematic renos in the 1980s and 90s. We wanted a new kitchen with a vintage look. Modern conveniences, but in a style appropriate to the period the house was built. The Agallius understood my vision and absolutely delivered. Matt was communicative and immediately responsive by phone and text over the course of this 7-month job. His strong relationships with subs helped the project to progress on schedule. During demo it became clear that we needed the advice of a structural engineer. Matt was able to have one on site within hours. Same for plumbers and electricians, tile and floors. Everyone came to work when they said they would. Ilir was on-site most days to assist and supervise. The crew was careful to keep things as tidy and contained as possible while my family continued to occupy the house throughout. With our new kitchen we achieved a more open and efficient layout, an extra foot+ of ceiling height, continuous radiant heat tile floors, custom cabinetry and beautiful finishes. The living and dining rooms got sleek Runtal radiators, white oak floors and restored baseboard trim. The house is transformed to what it was always meant to be. I would not hesitate to hire the Agallius for future projects.

We hired Agalliu Contracting to completely renovate a two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. From the moment we did the walk through and received a quote, Matt was extremely straight forward professional. Throughout the work, we found everyone on site to be professional and polite as well as tidy and respectful of the space. The work was completed to an extremely high standard and we are absolutely delighted with the results. It came in exactly on the initial quote despite a delay (that was no fault of Agalliu) and they were super helpful. We would absolutely recommend them, and will be using them again.

I was very impressed with the level of workmanship and the dedication Matt and his crew had with my project. At any time, if I had a concern about something I was reassured that my issue would be addressed and resolved. They work hard, they see it through and the quality is top notch. My place turned out better than I every thought it would.

Matt and his team helped me to completely transform my kitchen from top to bottom, and made my dream come alive! They are the most professional, organized, and efficient team. We recently renovated one unit in our Brooklyn townhome with Agalliu Contracting. This included 2 floors, a partial gut, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, major plumbing and electrical upgrades, and new floors, trim, fixtures throughout. Throughout the renovation we were living in the ground floor apartment of the house, and so we interacted with the crew on a daily basis. They were always professional and great people to have around for so many months. We are so happy with the final product, everything turned out just beautiful! The team also worked within our very firm and short timeline (I was pregnant, so we wanted to ensure a move in date before the baby arrived). We’re now 6 months into living back at our place and Matt is still responsive when we have questions, even visiting onsite to ensure any issues are addressed. Would absolutely work with the team again.
