A lot of people write about the taste classes that last one day. It's clear that those are great. That's just the tip of what this place has to offer, though. The best thing about them is their sommelier classes. I have no plans to become a chef, but damn, they are the best thing I have ever found. I wish my Wharton professors were this good. I want to sit at Keith's feet and take in everything he knows. There's more to it than just being hard and fulfilling. It changes the way you think, taste, and learn.

Completing the L2 and L3 sommelier programs at the Wine School of Philadelphia has been one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Keith and Alana are amazing teachers, wonderful people! Their passion for wine and their dedication to teaching is evident in every class, making the learning experience truly enriching. While the quantity of information can seem daunting at first (You really do learn a lot!!), the intimate, unique, and drama-free classroom atmosphere they foster allows for a truly enjoyable experience. Time seems to fly by! I'm astounded by the vast amount I've learned in such a short period, and I’m eagerly looking forward to taking the advance classes. For anyone intrigued by wine and eager to learn more, I highly recommend signing up for classes at the Wine School of Philadelphia. It's the ideal place to learn from!

I recently finished the Wine 101 tasting class and I absolutely loved it. Every class was very informative, instructors were experienced, funny and made me enjoy coming to every session. Keith Wallace was my favorite instructor but Zach is fun to listen to as well. The classes are interesting and entertaining at the same time and the knowledge I've acquired became really useful to me personally. I would say, this is one of the better wine tasting schools in Philadelphia, and I would definitely recommend my other friends to try it out!

I took the accelerated L2 and L3 course this early August. As an educator, I really appreciate the curriculum design and content delivery of this course. The L2 portion was taught by Keith and L3 portion was taught by Alana. Due to the condensed nature of the course, the L3 portion was packed with information. Alana had a clear outline of the course objective. She presented the information in a clear and logical manner, while making the learning fun. Through out the course, she emphasis the important concepts and provide studying tips to help us prepare for the exam. By the end of the course, I had a clear understanding of the essential wine knowledge I need to process to the next level in wine education. The L2 portion of the course is largely experiential. Keith designed the activities specifically to break down the complex wine tasting attributes into smaller accessible pieces. The guided learning process is methodical and impactful. Both Keith and Alana are exceptional teachers. The curriculum of the school is diverse with courses for every level of wine enthusiast. I look forward to taking more classes at the school. NOTE: At the time this review, I have not passed the L2/L3 exam yet.

I attended the combined Level 2 & 3 Core Wine Course and absolutely loved my time here. The school does a fantastic job bringing like-minded people together to form a close community over 8 weeks. Keith and Alana bring an expert fund of knowledge, while creating a fun learning environment. I'm very much looking forward to future classes here!

I have attended several wine events at the Wine School of Philadelphia and each one was a wonderful experience. I was there for the Cook and Corks in October. Keith was a delight and not only did I learn a lot about wine, I laughed along the way. Alana was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. The menu was complex, the food was delicious and the wine pairing was perfect. Thank you for a great night out! I will be back! I would HIGHLY recommend a night out or class at the Wine School!

Informative, relatable, and most importantly humble. Have completed multiple courses and look forward to more. Great way to spend an evening educating yourself or spend a few months on a deep dive into the world of wine. You will never know what you don't know until you learn from Keith and Alana who keep wine accessible and fun while pushing you to demand more from yourself and the beautiful world of wine.

I've attended two classes at the Wine School with Keith. Both times I have found the classroom to be a great environment for intimate gatherings of people interested in wine. The tasting room is comfortable, everyone has clear views of each other and Keith, and the groups are small. Unfortunately, I've been disappointed in the actual content of the classes. It seems like, regardless of the class thesis, the actual discourse rambles throughout many topics, lacking clear direction and coherency. In both sessions, I felt like I tasted new and interesting wines but learned little beyond my own experience. I enjoyed the contrasting pairings of wine as a framework for discovery. I felt encouraged to explore by Keith's tasting notes. Beyond this, basically everything else he said detracted from the experience and the possibility to learn.

Joined the school a couple months ago and have been to a handful of classes since. Each class is unique and fun, and I learn something new every time I go. The instructors are awesome, and definitely not the kind of people you’d imagine when you think of who’d be running a wine school.

Went here with a few friends over the weekend and was very disappointed. The class was an overview of Spanish wines and while I did learn a little about a few of the wines the experience was overshadowed by the ego of our instructor. The selection of wines was also disappointing. They seemed to be selected by the instructor who confessed to liking young wines (or perhaps they were selected because they were cheaper than more aged wines). In my opinion it was not a representation of what Spain has to offer. Another drawback was the lack of food to accompany the wine (even a bit of cheese or chocolate would have sufficed). Especially when the instructor is constantly suggesting that the wine pairs well with food! The school does allow the class to enjoy the remaining wine... The remnants of 8 bottles rationed between the 21 attendees. When my wife asked if there was more of a particular wine, she was flat out ignored! After asking the instructor four times if there was more wine she finally confronted her. The instructor got an attitude and complained that she didn't feel my wife was attentive enough during the class! It's a shame that the class can't talk amongst themselves due to the instructors insecurities . I don't think that I have to say it, but we will not be back!
