Hidden cozy coffee shop. Great place to bring a book and settle in. Tourists in and out but the space keeps it quiet with the lighting and seating arrangements. Had a yummy cinnamon roll and matcha. They bring water to you too which was so thoughtful. Just taking one star off because it is notably pricy.
Came to Storyville Coffee because of all the raving reviews—and yep, they were right! I ordered a hot mocha and absolutely loved it. Super smooth and comforting, perfect for a chilly Seattle day. If it’s your first time visiting, they’ll even give you a free mug—just fill out your name, email, and zip code. The café itself is super cozy and a great spot to chill and plan your next stop in Pike Place. It’s located on the top floor, but don’t worry—there’s a sign to guide you. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area!
We weren’t originally planning on stopping here but we opted for a second coffee on this day to make it fit into our plans, and I’m glad we did. Storyville has some of the best coffee drinks, if not the best coffee drinks, in Seattle right now. My spouse claimed she thought it was the best vanilla latte she had ever had, I can’t decide if it’s number 1 for me or a very close second, but it’s definitely one of the two positions. If you are looking for a place, go here, and you won’t need to go anywhere else. The staff are friendly, the seating is comfortable, and the views are unique to the location.
The place itself is nice, and the staff is friendly. What threw me off, besides ridiculously high coffee prices, is that they charge outrageous prices for alternative milks - the highest I encountered in Seattle. Considering the devastating impact the dairy industry has on animals and the environment, regular milk should be charged, not punishing someone who wants to use or try vegan options. Remove almond and oat milk charge!
Had a great stop at Storyville Coffee Pike Place the other morning. The vibe upstairs is super calm compared to the chaos outside in Pike Place, which makes it a perfect spot to slow down for a bit. Coffee was excellent (smooth not overly bitter) and you can tell they actually care about quality. The staff was friendly without being over the top, and everything felt really intentional from the music to the setup. Easy place to sit for a while and just relax.
First of all, this place is very hard to find. You have to swim through the Pike Place tourists to find a staircase that leads you up to the actual coffee shop. Once you get there, it is warm and cozy, but almost too warm because I immediately started sweating. It is very crowded, so seating is hard to find. Of course, the good seats are taken by people working on their laptops. The breakfast sandwiches with cheddar were fantastic. The cinnamon honey latte was on point. The salted caramel cookie was the real standout. Way chewier than it looked. We should have gotten more.
My favourite coffee place in Seattle. Coffee has the perfect balance. Service is excellent - from the counter staff to the attentive Duran - who constantly filled up our water and making guests feel at home. The place is pretty noisy to read/write as many people are using their phone on speaker- sharing conversations!

Although we encountered a minor delivery issue unrelated to their product and service, they promptly responded and offered a solution. We were already enamored with the coffee and had set up a monthly subscription before this incident. Storyville went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. For this, they have earned a lifetime customer. We are grateful to have discovered Storyville, and our customers are equally appreciative.
Storeyville coffee is absolutely delish! They make their own milk alternatives and it makes a difference. This coffee also helps a great cause rescuing people from human trafficking. Pike place market is a beautiful location, the coffee artistry is gorgeous, and customer service is fantastic. This is not money wasted💚💙
Nestled above the famous Pike Place Market, Storyville Coffee Pike Place is a true hidden gem. The coffee is outstanding, whether it’s an Americano, latte, or espresso, every cup is rich, smooth, and perfectly made. And the pastries are just as impressive, especially the Frosted Cinnamon Roll… an absolute must. With its cozy atmosphere and consistently top tier quality, this is hands down the best coffee place in Seattle, and easily one of my favorite cafés anywhere in the world. ☕✨
