The 1 star is for Mari not the entire staff. Mari, the store manager, decided to be indignant about promo signage (the didn’t have an end date posted) SHE and the staff who worked the previous days forget to remove. Instead of honoring the promo then removing it she refused. Her refusal honoring her mistake cause me to ask & wait for management. Cassandra another manager did a wonder job by honoring the promo and agreeing that it should have been done immediately. Mari’s tone during my interaction was extremely rude and dismissive. I had to ask her not to continue to speak to me whilst I waited for Cassandra. Mari wanted to debate and I wasn’t granting her that energy. Especially not at 7am. My wait to speak Cassandra caused me to miss my bus to work. Mari, do a better job of prepping before opening, you may find things like old marketing. Do not try to insight confrontational debates with customers ESPECIALLY when you are in the wrong.
I am torn to leave this review. I have over the last several years become a fan of slipping into a friendly Starbucks putting in my order getting a smile and good wishes for the day along with my order; and stepping out into the world. However this Starbucks which is in fact inside the Safeway and that I have been to several times, has the least friendly and most sullen and silent employee working the counter that I have ever personally met. It has no ambience whatsoever. 1/2 of their products even the reduced menu that they carry are rarely in stock. Personally if I was Starbucks company I would close this as it is a bad representation of their brand.
Pretty consistent, good quality coffee drinks. Limited menu and staff because it's located inside of Safeway. Long wait if the line is more than two customers. The only Starbucks in the Pearl District area, so you get what you get.
The Starbucks at this Safeway in the Pearl is good. The barista was awesome and very friendly. But the Safeway store overall is not exactly inviting. The armed guards, who probably received very little training, make you question if this store is safe to shop at. Any way, the Starbucks here is the real deal, just keep your eyes open when you shop here.
These guys are great! Coffee is always prepared quickly *and* properly and customer service is great. I’m not a super regular but visit once or so per week. It’s always clean and if team members recognize me, they always say hi as if I frequent them daily. It’s nice. :)
It was okay, and I thoroughly enjoyed my bean beverage in the propensity of a handful of this area's finest examples of professionally-skilled virtue signallers, which afforded me the opportunity to learn a few underwhelming pointers, but it still was certainly educational at the medium corporate/office level. Keep up the mediocre work, folks. You may have a future in something, someday, so just keep on staring at that bright spot (unless, of course, it's the sun) and following your mundane hopes. Odds are quite good that you'll achieve at least one of them, right? ❤
I’ve been to this location a couple of times and always had a wonderful service. I went in today around 3 after a very long week and was greeted by a cheery woman who was very helpful and just an incredibly pleasant person who in a short interaction impacted my day positively. I didn’t catch her name but she is exceptional and an asset to this store!
If Maree or Nicole makes your later it's great, otherwise some of the new trainees can't do it.
