Johnie did a great job! Handled all outside and inside!

I manage a commercial building in Overland Park, KS, and hired Smithereen to catch and remove a squirrel that was heard in between the ceiling and roof. While the technician told me the squirrel could climb up the wall to enter where it was getting inside the building on the front wall, he instead put a trap behind a parapet wall on the roof, in an area where I saw no evidence of squirrels. He told me he put the trap there because he didn’t think we’d want the trap to be seen by customers from the front of the building, and he didn’t think our tenants would want him placing it above the ceiling tiles in their spaces. In other words, they put the trap in a place where it was unlikely to catch a squirrel, and then billed us $20 each day to inspect the trap. The worse they did, the more they billed us. I called the local manager several times to complain, and am still waiting for him to return my call. Hopefully, this post will motivate him to call me back. Caveat emptor.

He also gave us great recommendations at very little cost, like our door that lead to the outside. Johnnie was very kind and caring. We would like Johnie to be our Pest Technician on a regularly basis.

Working with Smithereen has been quick and easy. We have a nest of yellow jacket wasps in our roofline under the flashing. We started seeing wasps in the bedroom below that spot in our roof. This had us worried. Scheduling service was simple and they were quick to respond. Ronnie came out and he was a wealth of knowledge. He treated the area and he gave me clear expectations of what the next few days will look like. Besides being pleasant and knowledgeable, he was also very calm about the situation. Never having had yellow jacket problems, it was comforting that he was so calm about it. He answered all my questions and left me feeling good about the solution to our problem. Ronnie has worked for Smithereen for 32 years, which says a lot about how he is valued there.
