I had a large job to be done in the front yard and sidewalk. I was putting it off do the fact i really didn't trust anyones hearsay. I called John and Ralph for an estimate and was plesantly surprised with the price. Yet it was a large job and still very expensive still. I look at other jobs they had done and i really liked thear work, I finally gave in and had the work done. I was reasured that if i was not happy i didnt have to pay the last payment. They started the work all 100% professional from the start. They got all the necessary permits from the city by the way was all included in the price. their workers where all proffessional and curteous. The job was done quickly extremely clean and with a beautiful result. I am extremely happy that i made the right choice with Scalfmore constrution. I would definelty use them again and again. Hired to repoint 20x60 parapet. Sold me lintels I didn’t need that were installed without weep holes and leaked from the day he left. Left unfilled voids and areas untouched so within a year had even more substantial problems more effacing and stalling and failing brick. Etc. Paid top dollar to get it done right but I didn’t know what I didn’t know and he totally screwed me over. Untrustworthy.

Sclafmore have redone my yard, driveway and put in a new bathroom and washroom in my basement. I would highly recommend their services. Trustworthy, polite and professional, Scalfmore's work and results are undeniable. I highly recommend them.

This company made an appointment with me in order to look over the work I need done on my home. Never showed up and didn't even have the courtesy to inform me they wouldn't be keeping the appointment or to pick up the phone when I tried calling more than once

I needed extensive brick work done to my home as well as a concrete driveway and sidewalk replacement. After six different construction estmates a friend referred me to Sclafmore.Ralph(owner) not only gave me the best price for my buck, he had a 4 to 6 man crew at my house everyday. It only took 6 working days as opposed to two weeks as everybody sugested.Two contractors that I was going to use in the neighborhood complimented the work I was proud to say.

I contacted Sclafmore construction about having my old concrete removed and installing new pavers and a new PVC fence. Ralph immediately answered the phone and told me he would come in the next morning. He arrived on time and quoted me the best of 3 bids that I had gotten so far. I decided to give him the job. Ralph's crew arrived ahead of schedule. I was very impressed by his trucks and all the equipment that they had. His crew were all professionally dressed and looked like a team not just a bunch of guys doing work! I can't express how cleanly and accurately all the work was done. The workers were very polite and focused on their work. I watched the entire job being done., and they answered any questions I had. When the pavers were being installed, they meticulously checked each paver and rejected quite a few that were broken or scratched.. One day one of the workers told me he found a $20 bill in my back yard, I asked my wife and it did indeed belong to her. That was a very honest thing he did. Because they were so nice I decided to pay for their lunch a couple of times. This was an expensive project and my wife and I are so very happy with the results. I can't thank Sclafmore enough for the beautiful job they did and I will recommend them to all my friends!!!!

I recently bought a 1920s home in Astoria, Queens. It's a fixer upper and that included the back yard. The concrete patio was cracked and pot holed. The patio stones the former owner put in were dated. I had huge dead tree and the place was overgrown with vegetation of various sorts-vines, rose bushes, corn, etc. I called Sclafmore Construction for a back yard make over. The guys came over a shredded all the veg. They took the tree down and cleaned up the yard. Then the next day they poured fresh concrete and the day after, came the bricks. I now have two beautiful brick patios with some growing areas that are easily controlled. The guys were great to work with and very professional.

My wife and I were tired of cutting our 7 foot hew tree and the hedges on both sides of our property in Maspeth. After seeing work done in our neighborhood we asked people about work done by Sclafmore and other contractors. We liked the work that was done by Sclafmore and decided to hire them. They just completed the work which included removing the large tree and all its roots plus the pain in the next hedges. They put up brick walls in place of the hedges with gray granite on top of the brick wall and pavers up the walk way and a new sidewalk. Every one that passes my houses says what a wonderful they did and I have to agree 100%
