I am thrilled that I did SMP with Ian Dennis in Houston! Like anyone on this forum, there is apprehension with such a big decision. I eventually took that leap, and my life is changed for the better!, I am more confident and can live a more active life. Minoxidil never worked. I used Caboki for awhile but that was very inconvenient. Looked into hair transplants but expensive and one of my friends did not improve dramatically from it; can get some more hair up top, but cannot get back the density like when you were younger. I looked into Vinci Hair Clinic and HIS Hair Clinic, they both introduced me to a client and let me observe the procedure; prices comparable, ultimately I chose HIS because the office looked more professional made me feel more comfortable. The results of my SMP are in the attached photos: before, after session 1, after session 2, and after session 3 (two photos). Very satisfied! He is nice and wants you to be happy. I communicated what I wanted, and he accomplished it. I wanted it very dark, he made it happen. Remember, it is a process, have to start off slow first then progress. I have dark black hair, so higher ink numbers; 1st session started with ink color 10 back and 12 front (looking promising), 2nd session 4 back 6 front (looking very good), 3rd session 2 back 4 front (looking great). I just had my 4th session after 1 year because it did fade to get it back to looking like it did at the end of 3rd session.

ian makes my hair look thicker. he is a nice person and did extra work on sides for no charge. i no longer wear toppik or scared when it rains LOL i feel happy

First and foremost, there's a lot of information on scalp micropigmentation that is either completely wrong or has been tarnished by really bad practitioners. I've had SMP for over 5 years. So, please, take the following into consideration: 1.) How natural does it look? My dermatologist, who I see yearly to refill my prescription on Propecia has never once asked whether I’ve had the procedure done. Yes, it's that good. 2.) SMP has become a procedure that many hair restoration clinics have already adopted as either a complete procedure or supplemental procedure with a hair transplant to build density. 3.) SMP is an artistic procedure. Thus, it takes time to build that ability. Ian Dennis craftsman has reached a level of undetectable. Overall, that’s what any recipient would want: seamless blending. 4.) Explain to your practitioner (Ian Dennis if you’re smart) what exactly it is you want. You will notice that he uses multiple pigments for different areas of your scalp (a sign of an expert practitioner). Most importantly, you will see that Ian will insist on the SMP procedure going with light hues. Why? Because of how the ink is absorbed by the body. Thus, he insists on the side of caution. Meeting several people who have had the procedure you will notice that everyone’s experience is different. However, one factor is the same: you wish you would have done the procedure much earlier. 5.) Getting SMP is a process. For me, it took over a year before I got to the point where the ink was holding well. I occasionally get a touch-ups every 12-18 months. Again, this is due to my immune system absorbing the ink, which has occurred with past tattoos, as well. Taking the above into consideration, picking the right practitioner is essential for having the best outcome. Ian Dennis, by far, is the best practitioner I’ve encountered. I’ve been through a total of 5 different practitioners who worked for a major SMP company. Where I meet Ian. Again, he’s ability to seamless merge remaining hair with the SMP procedure is unparalleled and undetectable. His prices compared to other major competitors are beyond fair. Do yourself a favor, don’t let anytime past you. Go see Ian, believe me, I can’t say enough how much the SMP procedure has given my life back in terms of confidence. Losing my hair at a young age was detrimental and stressful. In a way, I’ve gotten some of my youth back with my SMP. The services Ian has provided are the best spent money I’ve ever spent. After the first two sessions, I was very skeptical. The scar on the back of my head is very big and it wasn’t covered fully for a few weeks/months. When I complained about it, Ian went out of his way to schedule me a immediate appointment and fixed it. It is looking way better now and I still have one more session.
