I absolutely recommend NextChapter and its virtual paralegal service, it has been a game changer for my solo practice. I am assigned the same paralegal for every case so we have a continuous working relationship, and she incorporates every local or internal practice that comes up as we go, so I am never constantly reinventing the wheel with someone new for each case. She knows bankruptcy and is so great with keeping clients on track and answering their non-legal questions. My cases are getting filed way faster than before, and I don't have to do the data collection, entry, and client hand-holding that is not the best use of my time (and frankly which I always ended up procrastinating). Finally, I don't have to continuously invest the time and expense of training an in-house paralegal in bankruptcy procedures, only to have them leave after a year and me have to start over. My clients are happier, I'm happier, and I could not more highly recommend NextChapter and its paralegal service.
I started using NextChapter earlier in 2017. Very good system, which keeps getting better. No installation, and you can access your cases from anywhere. You can file to ECF directly from NextChapter. Very flexible pricing structure. Almost makes managing bankruptcy cases fun!
Not happy with this program at all. I used it for two years because it promised to work better with Apple but it doesn't. The customer service is not great at all and now that I've switched back to BestCase cloud, I get charged if I want to file or download anything on the cases that I previously used NextChapter to file. The interface is pretty but that's about it. Oh, and the Chapter 13 Plan part of the software is awful.
So, the reviews are great but don't tell the full story. Next Chapter is cloud based and does what it is supposed to do. However, be sure and know the layout and organization of data input is not always intuitive, for me at least. If you're not used to working directly with the bk schedules, it will work fine. But if you've been a heavy bankruptcy practitioner and want to just enter data into a specific schedule, it isn't always easy and sometimes not possible. It's definitely a good product but it will take time to get used to how someone else thought data should be entered. Take a trial run before you jump all the way in like I did.
I have been practicing bankruptcy law in Arizona for about 14 years. After years of searching for an easy to use cloud-based platform for bankruptcy document preparation I finally found it in NextChapter. The platform has worked great and their customer service has been excellent. Highly recommend.
NextChapter is the premier Bankruptcy Filing assistance firm for attorneys. Our firm is a consumer defense law firm and with NextChapter's help we were able to expand our business to include bankruptcy. In addition to the excellent software and customer service they also have a product that allows a firm to hire one of their paralegals to go through and assist with client contact and preparation of the Petition and Schedules. This service is invaluable to our office as we were not staffed properly to handle the new influx of Bankruptcy clients that we were previously having to refer out to other firms. The best software on the market!! Rather than follow the traditional, follow-the-form method of case prep, NextChapter charted a new and innovative course in bankruptcy case preparation. We've seen significant reductions in the time it takes to enter cases. The cloud service is instantaneous and seamless. I couldn't be happier with the quality and speed of customer service. I work at a small law firm, and time management is always paramount. Historically, bankruptcy has been an important part of our practice, but it is often difficult to get clients to provide accurate and complete information. In addition, the voluminous documents which the Bankruptcy Rules require, as well as the court's scrutiny of each filing, work to put a premium on getting everything done correctly from the beginning. NextChapter is truly effective in addressing the information gathering part of the process, and the software makes preparing the court documents incredibly easy.
NextChapter is an easy-to-use petition preparation software for bankruptcy professionals. It is fully integrated with cm/ecf which makes filing a breeze. Its customer services is very responsive and in fact is almost instantaneous with its in-app chat function. I highly recommend NextChapter to anyone looking for a cost effective and easy to use petition preparation software. Unlike other petition programs, NextChapter has several different cost points so that each practitioner can choose the one that best suits his or her practice.
Our firm just started using Next Chapter a few months ago. We are very impressed with the program! It is very user friendly and easy to navigate through. Mandy and Janine are always available to answer any questions we may have. They are always updating new features in the program and always making sure the customers are up to date on what is new with the program.
