Reviews 100
Great lunch option for fresh and tasty sandwiches and salads. I had the “Not so fried” chicken sandwich and I was impressed with the taste and quality of the ingredients. The pomegranate mint lemonade was very good as well as the green juice. This location gets very busy around lunchtime so be patient- it’s certainly worth the wait! I was excited to see they are opening 2 locations in the Chicago area!
Extremely fresh, made to order!
Was skeptical from the initial reviews back when they first opened up here. Granted, I came during a slow weeknight but service was phenomenal, very helpful and friendly. The Avocado and quinoa salad was huge and tasty—not sugary and over salty like some fast serve healthy joints. The potato salad was also excellent and interesting—slightly smoky. The green juice was also not loaded with extra sugar and was something I would pay extra for. The employees didn’t make me pay for a to go container since the salad will last me 2 full meals. Can’t wait to add air fryer chicken for tomorrow’s dinner to it. Really great value and healthy food that’s not oily like other health-branded places.
We were very excited to see Mendocino farms open up in SLU. Ambiance is nice and lively. They have lots of room for indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. For food, we ordered the not so fried chicken sandwich and the Thai mango salad. Both were extremely delicious and tasted very fresh. Loved the addition of Mendo krispies which add a nice texture to the sandwich. The salad was a great combination of flavors and all the elements worked very well together. The meat is very tender.
Food was good and menu was more interesting than I'd expect from a salad and sandwich place. Really like their hours, makes this a great spot to grab dinner to go on the way home.
I ordered a chicken salad to-go, only to find there was no chicken in it. I immediately called the restaurant, but no one answered—even after 30 minutes of trying. I then emailed them using the contact info on their website, saying they’d get back to me in 2-3 business days. It’s been over a week, and I still haven’t heard a word. Terrible service and a complete lack of accountability. They used to be one of my favorites.
We have been loyal fans for Mendo since living in LA, so this is our go to choice when in Seattle. It is conveniently located in South Lake Union probably to cater to Amazon employees. We came here on a Friday early evening and to our surprise, not one customer! We ordered two season specials “Crunchy Hummus Salad” and “Dan Dan Noodle”. Both are delicious but if I can choose again, I will probably would stick to my favorite which is avocado and quinoa salad.
I ordered the sweet heat thai crispy chicken sandwich and the kale apple rainbow salad online. Pick up was very easy, almost too easy, you could just walk in and read someone's name off the bag. The sandwich was pretty good. Chicken nice and crispy, and a bit spicy, and lots of fresh toppings. A bit sweet for my taste, but it's in the name. The salad was really disappointing, especially compared to the free sample I had tasted a couple weeks prior.I ordered a Large, which is supposed to be enough for 3-4 people as a side dish. There's no way it would reasonably serve 3-4 people, it was so tiny. If that were the case, the small would be the size of a condiment container. Also, it was drenched in dressing, and had way less kale than when I sampled it. See photo (container is about 1 inch tall)
I’ve had great memories of Mendo in Marina del Rey and sadly this location has ruined them. Will not be returning. Every meal I’ve ordered (several) here since it opened was messed up either by missing ingredients, minuscule amounts of protein, or even a wrap made as a quesadilla on occasion. Aside from the fact that orders are still late, I can’t write these mistakes off any more since they’ve had months to get to a base level of operational excellence. I guess this is as good as it gets, and that’s one star. Maybe the managers should spend more time monitoring the kitchen line and striving for quality they can control instead of monitoring and responding to reviews on here. Don’t respond to me: just work on fixing your restaurant. The current average review here says it all.
Mendocino Farms in Seattle is consistently excellent. The food is always fresh and made with high-quality ingredients—truly comparable to Whole Foods quality. Every visit is satisfying, and I’ve never been disappointed.
