Best African store even, there palm oil is the best in the northwest. Not like other stores that mix it up with other stuff. Don't mind the drive from Salem to Portland to do my shopping.

They have a wide range of very AUTHENTIC products: African spices, condiments, beverage, food, frozen foods, textile and more… Very pleasant customer service with great knowledge of african cuisine, culture and community . They can help you find almost anything you are looking for!
Mama Pauline's came through in the clutch for a sister in Portland. I left (forgot) my black soap and NEEDED some more and had no idea how I was going to find AUTHENTIC African Black Soap. Thanks to Mama Pauline's, I not only got my soap I also got some frankincense oil! I'm in there! THANK YOU, Mama Pauline's! I needed you and you were there! I love this shop. I have found amazing skincare products, good prices on avocado oil, rice, and tasty new foods to try. The family who runs the shop are friendly albeit a bit aloof at first. Now they recognize me and smile a bit. The women in the shop are often beautifully dressed in what I believe is west African fashion. A refreshing and rewarding addition to my weekly grocery store stops.
I have been buying white corn meal from this small shop for a long time. The counter lady has always been cheerful and helpful. Yesterday, June 4, 2020, I had opportunity to meet the manager/owner. She was also very helpful offering a push cart to my vehicle. I recommend this shop.
