I recently attended my first Mac's List event on 2/12/26, "A PDX Career Story Workshop: A guided Framework for What's Next. Communication skills all job seekers need in today's market." It was one of the most practical and energizing professional development sessions I've participated in. The content was timely, relevant, and clearly designed to help job seekers navigate a rapidly changing hiring landscape. Mac and team created a welcoming, inclusive environment and offered concrete strategies that apply across industries- from how to communicate your value with confidence to how to build authentic connections during interviews and networking conversations. I especially appreciated the focus on clarity, storytelling, and tailoring your message to different audiences. These are skills that matter not just for job searching, but for leadership and career growth overall. Mac's List consistently provides high-quality resources for Oregon job seekers, and this event was no exception. I left with new insights, refreshed tools, and a renewed sense of direction. The Speakers mixed with attendees for 1-on-1. Some attendees were successfully employed past job-seekers who came to “pass it on” and offer support to anyone needing a Mentor - I am directly benefiting from my new Contacts, who really care. Creative methods for marketing myself plus a quickly updated & solid Job Listing are part of the education offered, including articles & podcasts plus the ability to ask Q’s directly to Mac. That is the caliber of Mac’s List because those are his ethics. He freely shares insight, connections & ideas from a foundation of knowledge & integrity & support. I’m mighty lucky to find this wonderful resource.
