Being relatively new to the Portland area, I am working on building my professional network. I recently attended Mac’s List event, “Meaningful Careers in Portland: Align Your Job with Your Values,” which was such a wonderful opportunity to meet so many enthusiastic, talented professionals working in purpose-driven fields throughout the city. I was amazed at the turnout and breadth of good works being done. Mac himself was present, accessible, and his desire to support meaningful work in Portland was palpable. This event was such a treat! I am absolutely looking forward to the next event and building relationships with all the wonderful folks I had the pleasure of meeting.

I recently attended a Mac’s List networking event, "The Leadership Skills You Need to Succeed in Oregon's Tough Job Market," and it was fantastic! This was my third event, and I left feeling motivated and supported. The panelists shared practical, real-world advice — especially Dr. Carol Parker Walsh’s tip to research companies deeply so you can clearly show how you’ll add value. What I appreciate most is the sense of community. Job searching can feel isolating, but Mac’s List creates a welcoming space where you can connect with others and share your experiences.
