I took a difficult lace dress in to be hemmed and have the waist taken out two inches only 5 days before I needed to have it done and the alterations were perfect. You can’t tell the dress was altered at all, it fits perfectly. Wonderful, fast service. Thank you!

I just got back my first ever batch of items, and I am so happy with the quality and care of my alterations and dry cleaning. Sue is a delight to visit and very quick and efficient in taking measurements and understanding what her clients want. I spent about $700 on a new tailored suit two weeks ago and brought it here to be dry cleaned for the first time. After taking it out of the plastic, I noticed the pants had shrunk so badly they sat an inch above my ankle, along with a new stain on my jacket sleeve, a milky white blotch that was obviously a cleaning agent. At that point I had only worn the suit once and never had it cleaned before. When I explained this, the owner told me he's never done that to a client and that it's fundamentally impossible. It felt like I had to argue significantly with him before he agreed to take the suit back and remedy it. He fixed the jacket and offered to fix the pants too, but I'm taking those elsewhere. The stitching on both the jacket and pants was stressed and is now coming undone, and the waistline on the pants is tighter. I'm extremely frustrated. They charged me a premium and ruined my suit. Absolutely avoid. (Responding to Owner: Everyone reading this… The stitching on my pants came back frayed and cinched throughout, including at the waistband. So yes, I did get my pants back, and they were ruined. I asked them to cover the damage and they declined. If they had wanted to make this right, they would have replaced the pants. They didn’t, so I’ve taken my business to Magista on Capitol Hill… they are so much better.)

I brought my Canada Goose parka here for an alteration challenge and the craftsmanship on my garment far exceeded my expectations. He was able to retrofit a ruff from a previous model and it looks like it was originally made this way, he did such a beautiful job! I’m thrilled, I’ll definitely be bringing my cleaning and alterations here in the future.
I brought in a Spirit Hoods robe to have the hood removed. They did remove it, so credit where due. But beyond that, the work felt very minimal. There didn’t seem to be much consideration for how the robe would fit afterward, whether the collar would be comfortable, or how the final result would look. It now feels awkward to wear and looks more unfinished than tailored. On top of that, for how bare-bones the service was, the price felt rather high. So yes, the hood is gone — but unfortunately so is the comfort. Two stars because the task was technically completed, but I’m disappointed with the outcome.
