Jewel and his team renovated our backyard this year, we had a concrete deck in bad shape and broken concrete angled towards the house. Jewel worked with us to make our dream a reality to have a beautiful new steel and bluestone deck and bluestone patio with drywells and a natural stone wall. We couldn’t be happier with the results! Jewel and his team did a great job on all aspects of the multi monthlong project and was certainly the best contractor experience we’ve had since becoming homeowners! We've hired Jewel Construction Company for two projects. The first was a deck renovation, which turned out beautifully! This second project was more complicated, the demolition of an existing, but dated full bathroom. We live in a co-op building so it was very important that the contractor minimize the noise, dust and inconvenience to our neighbors. Jewel and his team did such an amazing job! Our neighbors gave them very positive marks and we love how our bathroom turned out. Jewel asks questions, offers solutions and cares about the details. We interviewed multiple companies, and Jewel is really set apart from others. They were extremely professional and cost-effective. Their work was fantastic, and they were able to rejuvenate our brownstone steps to the original color and texture of the other stairs. Jewel was personable and friendly, I hired him to do concrete work and a new deck. Unfortunately, he had NO idea on how to build a deck, sometimes he came in the morning for a few minutes and left and it was the employee or sub contractor who spent the day building the deck. It had to be taken apart the following day because he enclosed the garden faucet underneath the deck as well as the cuts being uneven, and it was the same thing for over a month mistake after mistake, the concrete work was uneven and instead directing the water into the garden he directed toward the house. Jewel Construction did a great job building a new deck for me; they remover the old one, cleared the site from debris, and build a new one with Trex. I am very happy with my new deck that they expertly built. The builders removed my old deck in one work day. When building the new deck, they were meticulous and diligent in ensuring all requested specs were implemented while maintaining structural integrity. If there were any changes to made, they were very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure they can be made within a reasonable amount of time and pricing. I first contacted Jewels through the internet. It was the best decision my wife and I had made. Jewels and his crew are the utmost professionals at there craft. Jewel Construction recently completed a project for me on my home. My ceiling in my living had collapsed and needed to be replaced. Jewel handled the demo and installed new drywall, recessed lighting, and a crown molding as well as repainting the living room to match the existing color. I really couldn't be happier with his efficiency and timely manner in which the project was completed. His crew was very professional and polite. Jewel and his team did a phenomenal job building a new beautiful expanded deck in my backyard and installing a new roof. They showed up on time each day and stuck to the estimated timeline.
