My rating is based on our food delivery order. We didn’t come in to eat an Hunny Beez so I’m disregarding service and atmosphere. 3-4 years ago, my club would get Filipino food catering from this restaurant along with halo halo and the food and dessert tasted amazing. BUT I’m not sure what changed, my partner and I ordered food from Hunny Beez through Uber Eats and were instantly disappointed after a few bites. The lechon was not cooked properly and the skin was not crispy, it was rubbery and very hard to chew to the point where I had to peel off the pork skin from each piece of lechon. The pancit was mostly carrots, noodles were soggy and were broken into small rice size pieces. The ube tres leches we ordered was dry and had the consistency of sand. And lastly the halo halo smelled a bit like cleaning solution/nail polish remover and was weirdly carbonated. The ube looking soft serve on the halo halo was not ube at all. It was also missing mango ice cream despite the description saying so. Overall, I’m not sure if we would give this place another try.
So I’ve been here twice so far. They have literally some of the best damn burgers I’ve ever had. Really and burgers are my jam. I absolutely LOVE the pineapple kicker burger. It’s so delicious and the ingredients and how it’s prepared have been amazing both times. I’m gonna have a hard time ordering other items I like it that much. The employee working is extremely friendly and on top of everything. Greeted me immediately. Food was prepared quickly and perfectly and the atmosphere feels very welcoming here. I really like this place. I haven’t tried everything but I will def be back many more times.
So good it should be a crime. Lumpia was crispy as heck and the HunnyBeez spicy sauce is a perfect pairing. The wings were awesome!! Hot, crispy, and tasty. I want them covered In sauce next time too but the adobo flavor this time was great!! Need to come back and chill and have a drink. Solid option for food all day. Saturday brunch menu looks mad good.
The vibes, immaculate. The company, superb. The two vintage Impalas that showed up, amazing. The karaoke, wickedly entertaining. The deluxe chicken sandwich might be the greatest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I have never left a review so quick and so high.
-- edit. I've been back. I tried the Lumpia and Chicken Tinola this time. The Lumpia was great this time. The Tinola was good, it's a different version from what I've had before, but good. I'll be back again to try more of their sandwiches! Everything had good flavor, but everything was seriously over cooked. Like almost burnt over cooked. The Lumpia was the worst. Lumpia are supposed to be a caramel color, not coffee bean to dark chocolate colored. Bits were straight up burned. The cook should have been embarrassed to serve them IMHO. My wife and I enjoyed the flavor and they seem hand rolled. Wife said they would have been great if not over fried. The kare-kare dog had great flavors, but again felt over cooked. The hot dog definitely was a bit dry. The wings had great flavor, but were again a bit too dry. I think their fryer was too hot. I noticed one wing was almost still pink inside, but had a crunchy exterior like the oil was too hot. I liked the flavors, so I'll be back in a few to try again. I'll update my review if things are better next time.
Got the chicken rice bowl but about half of the rice was mushy. Some of the chicken was a little cold. Kinda disappointed bc I had high hopes. Even the chips were past the best by date. 😭
I have always enjoyed my food here, burger weeks (2025) menus was amazing, my favorite I got to have this year and I always enjoy the people, atmosphere and vibes there.
Wanted to like the place as it's new and local but the food doesn't cut it. This is my (entire) $11 sandwhich. It was sort of bahn mi style but with a cream sauce and cooked vegetables. It wasn't bad, but it wasnt great either and $11 for a half baguette with this quality just isn't competitive. Waste of money
Lovely spot right off the park blocks near PSU. Food was fresh and hot but came out quick. We got crab rangoons and pork lumpia (photo had to wait till I was almost done) . Both were great. The dipping sauce was nice (salty savory) and you could add spice with the many chili and Sriracha options at the table.
My friend and I stopped in for dinner and it was so great! I ordered the Deluxe Mac and Cheese with the torta talong (vegetarian) and it was DELICIOUS. I meant to take a picture but it disappeared before I could stop myself! Way better than I expected! Yum! Also fantastic service from the staff! Will come again next time I’m in town!
