My first time eating there tonight. Had a chicken burger, fries, and soda. The fries and chicken burger were kind of hard to eat. It seems to be sitting under the heat for a long time or something. Caught the chef looking at me. He seems to know. I ain't going back. There doesn't seem to be many people there.
Cute little hole in the wall close to the hotel I was staying at, drinks were lovely, and the staff was very friendly and attentive!
Friendly | Good lumpia $$ We did take-out for lunch here after visiting OMSI. I was excited to try a Filipino place in Portland (I crave Filipino food after moving far away from my family)! Their menu looks great. I immediately decided on ordering the pancit bowl, Shanghai lumpia, and spam musubis. They were out of Shanghai lumpia because they're popular, so we went with pork lumpia. The person who greeted my husband is very friendly, maybe the owner. My kids like the musubis. The lumpia was devoured quickly. Delicious! However, the pancit bowl was underwhelming for me. I love that they put a lot of veggie ingredients unlike most places relying heavily on the rice noodle, but the taste felt like it was missing something. I'm not quite sure what to suggest either, but I also didn't care for the whole peppercorn when I got a bite of it. The price is a little expensive ($17) for the bowl, in my opinion. I have to note that I tend to compare every Filipino restaurant with my grandmother’s cooking. I'm still interested in coming back to try other food and drinks though. It's nice it's located close to the university. Street parking. Outdoor seating available.
Disclosure: we're Filipino. We made a couple orders of wings, silog (pork adobo), corn and a few other things. Everything mentioned above was so over cooked/fried. They were dry to the point I couldn't eat it.
This is fusion one right. Respect is paid to the food and flavors and combined in a way that flavorful and satisfying. This place is like going home to my dad cooking dinner or visiting an auntie who says i love you by making all your favorite foods. Staff is friendly. Bathroom is always clean.
Such a wonderful and cozy spot with nothing but delicious food. Very welcoming, everyone was very kind. Had what was possibly the best chicken sandwich I've had in a long time.
Me and my wife have begun to frequent this establishment and have found that EVERYTHING here is top notch. The ube milkshake is to dieeee for. The food is unmatched!!!!! GOOOO EATTTT THEREEEE????
Great bar, fun trivia and karaoke and they carry Red Horse
Food was super yummy!! My favorite is the rice bowl with chicken tocino . There’s also a kiosk to order your food that shows pictures. Wasn’t expecting the boba but the Thai tea is my favorite. Plenty of appetizers to choose from, the fried corn and the Shanghai lumpia were the groups favorite.
Ordered lumpia for take out. It was ready quicker than expected and was delicious and crispy. However - I also got an ube bar that was old and stale. It was not good. Will come back for savory food, but not the baked goods.
