Food was amazing, super tasty fresh and fast to the table. Prices were reasonable (13-16 per meal). Order via QR code through an app which was very glitchy and impersonal. We had to put our order in 5 times for it to work and honestly almost left because we were so frustrated. Patio is nice, you have to be over 21 to sit and there’s a lot of foot traffic. Overall would recommend because the food was so tasty but not a typical dining experience!

The service was okay but the place was very crammed, it was hot and the tables felt sticky. The food was sub par for a Mexican restaurant but my guess it that it’s because of the plant based meat. The table where I sat had pipes overhead and one of them was leaking. Luckily it was just a drop so I was able to move away. No bueno.

Ahhh I wanted to like this place so much, but for the price/portion and taste they offer, it is not worth it. Paid almost $40 for 3 tacos and a drink. The portions are just medium sizes taco. 3 tacos and a drink almost $40. I was shock and did not want to leave because it was embarrassing to order and leave because of the price. The 3 tacos alone is enough to keep you full but definitely not worth nearly close to forty dollars. The taste was just ok. Nothing tasty or special about those tacos.

Food is all plant based. Food was amazing. The service was not. The Food was all fresh and hot though. Although the bartender was not welcoming. And the server actually told me what I ordered was not a good idea and I should've ordered something else. Except what I ordered was perfect! Do not order a hibiscus Margehertia. We paid $30 for drinks we couldn't finish cause they were not good at all. Won't be back here.

Yummy vegan place to stop near Pike place market. Offers quite a few options - tacos, nachos, burritos, bowls with different "proteins". Had seitan barbacoa taco - good flavor and packed. Also can grab choice of sauce. Chips good, salsa okay. Enjoyed the margarita (pink cheap-o)! Staff super friendly and order available quick.

A vegan / vegetarian Mexican restaurant the food is good and relatively inexpensive considering the location it’s on. Not a big fan of the ordering system but the service was quick and efficient

I came because I love vegan food and the menu sounded interesting, The atmosphere was kind of confusing to me as to what they’re going for. It looks like a dive bar but is totally mobile order and self serve except for alcohol which has to be ordered with the bartender. Drinks come in glasses, but food comes in paper bowls with plastic utensils. There are signs around explaining how it works, so this is not the confusing part, but the vibe is just not clear if you’re at a bar or if you’re getting fast food. I got the seitan chikin tinga bowl and an horchata. The bowl was okay but is definitely more of the quick service variety of food than something put together in a full service restaurant. The flavour was good, it’s just all kind of thrown together and the sauces got soupy at the bottom. I think it was missing the corn salsa promised on the menu. The horchata was really good though, up there with the best I’ve tried, and the presentation was actually really nice with the cinnamon rim on the glass. I wouldn’t come here for something impressive, but after adjusting my expectations, it seems like a decent option for a quick (and it was super quick, ready less than 5 minutes after I ordered) and different vegan meal. I think the overall experience would be improved if they had real plates and cutlery for dining in.

The ambience is a bit cramped, the food is average, I ordered oyster mushroom al pastor bowl with 21 usd as final prize, the portion size is on the lower side for the higher prices. The restaurant was so hot and humid I had to get takeout. Overall the experience was unpleasant. Only the hostess, was great here, very polite, great service, especially professional. Kudos to her for working in a hot humid place, and still give great service. Same goes for other staff.

El Borracho at Pike Place Market is a great stop if you're looking for tasty vegan Mexican food. We tried the nachos, hot dog, chips with salsa, and guacamole, and everything was fresh and satisfying. The nachos were loaded with toppings, and the guacamole was especially flavorful. The only reason for 4 stars is that the portions felt a little small for the price. Overall, it's a solid option with delicious plant-based choices, and I'd happily visit again.

If you are vegan/vegetarian and visiting pike place market, then definitely do yourself a favor and stop by El Borracho! The service is great and orders are ready in 5 minutes or less 🙂 I really enjoyed the barbacoa taco with green rice and black beans on the side. I also ordered the the Al pastor taco but wasn’t a huge fan because the sauce lacked flavor. The next time that I visit, I look forward to trying other tacos on the menu 🌮
