A Better Fit Alterations was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator with infinity events. I chose them since the reviews were so good and I was so glad I did! The staff was so friendly and made the process super easy… I did have my dress custom fitted when I ordered it so the alterations I had done were very minimal. A bustle was added and a belt was sewn onto the dress. When I went to pick the dress up I brought another item I planned to wear for my rehearsal and asked if they would be able to take some length off. They were able to hem it for a very reasonable price. There were a few last minute details to be done to the dress when I picked it up, like adding a few more beads to the belt and fixing where it was slightly crooked, but they were able to do all of it in just a few minutes and get me on my way. I love that they also have a cell phone they use to text you to confirm appointments and have you send photos of your dress before you arrive. I definitely recommend them if you need a dress altered, and I plan to use them for cleaning/repair and preservation of my dress after the wedding. Thank you, A Better Fit!
As soon as my boss said she'd like to have her wedding gowns and veil preserved I immediately said, "I'll take it to Drake's!" Everyone knows they're the best in Memphis. They did a beautiful job and my boss is thrilled that maybe her daughter will at least want to wear her veil 10-15 years from now. 😃 AND their prices are very reasonable! Edit: 05/01/24-And I also just used their 24 self-service drop-off and pick-up for dry cleaning. Awesome! Was so nice to know I could do my errands without having to beat the clock to get to the cleaners before they closed! AND I found out they do regular everyday alterations also ...not just on wedding gowns. Love this place 😍.

They did a great job on the alteration for my granddaughter's prom dress and dry cleaning afterwards.
I was dissatisfied with both of my jackets. The beige one had the collar still dirty and spots. Both jackets I feel had a just purchase look when brought them there and .The look is gone totally. I don't know what they put on or sprayed on these jackets but they are not to my liking.
We have been using Drake Cleaners for a couple years now and always have a wonderful experience. So, when I needed my wedding dress altered & saw A Better Fit was located within Drake, I knew I'd be in good hands. My dress is perfect and tailored exactly how I wanted it. Drake cleaners are well located off Poplar Ave. They have a 24hrs service where if you are an existing customer, you can drop off and pick up your clothes after hours using your phone to open the door. They have an automated system that allows you to drop your clothes off and the machine will track them for you. You write a note in the system if you want them to take particular attention to an area with a spot or stain.
Drake's 24-hour/7 days a week dropoff and pick-up is the most convenient drycleaning system I have ever utilized. No rushing to get there before they close like other companies; they have used technology to gain access to the building, safely and securely. Then the automated system to drop off and collect your items is unmatched.
