Custom Sewing Services

Service rendered was poor and was not done in a timely manner. Lost thousands of dollars due to the fact that a lot of the garments produced were not salvageable. I bought my project to the owner already cut and all that needed to be done was sewing. She complained that what was to be done was not worth the money after she failed to meet numerous deadlines. She was also paid the full asking amount by the way. When I got the project strings were hanging loose and it was just unprofessional. I would not recommend this business. Be aware.

I paid them$4,500 upfront for 1125 face masks and they insisted on sending me samples in the mail instead of me coming to the factory to approve the samples, when I said I never received the samples in the mail they texted me pictures to go on so I did But they gave me all small size face masks - something I would never have approved of plus I sent them the size of face mask I want from day one which was a one sie fits all. They deceived me and unloaded all small face mask to me plus whats worst they shorted my order by 125 pcs, when I asked for the correct size and the balance of my order the owner Cursed at Me an said no the extra $500 go's for the cost of samples !!! Never ever did they say that to me, The one time a sample cost was mentioned was at te end of my order after they gave me 1000 pcs an They said to me $20 for a sample when I told thm I need larger size.total I got 4 samples from them so tats only $80 not $500 and at the start they led me to believe the samples were free. And in my opinion when the owner was cursing at me multiple times on the phone she sounded high, at this point They refuse to give me my remaining 125 pcs or refund the $500 I paid for them. Sadly I do not reccomended them at all for their receptiveness and unprofessional cursing at their customer, I looked forward to doing alot of business with them but I now see how bad they are.

The best. I came to Custom Sewing distraught after my first manufacturer didn't work out, they took on my project and have been beyond accommodating for my launch collection. It was important to me that my line is made in New York and I'm so thrilled I found them. They make great suggestions from pattern making to manufacturing and are so fast! This is my first go at fashion design and production...couldn't have done it without them. You won't be disappointed!

Avoid this place by any means!!! They are totally untrustworthy. 1/They didn't meet the deadlines. 2/They messed up in cutting the fabrics. 3/They quality of sewing was very bad. 4/the final garments had nothing to do with the samples they were given. Such a waste of time and money. When I asked for a refund initially they agreed but they kept lying to avoid it. Now, they don't even respond, very Unprofessional! I found them through the Fashion Manufacturing Initiative and I am going to report their bad service.

Great service and patience. Was worried because I had some ideas on the product that I wanted but no final design. They walked me through different fabric types, layout, samples, suggestions and options. They were patient with me in helping me settle on a final design. Prices weren’t bad compared to the rest of the market. Got quite a few complements on the end product. Thanks again guys, will refer to my friends.

Avoid avoid avoid this business! I very rarely post reviews but I am so displeased with my experience that if I can help someone else avoid this company I am happy to. I connected with Moe about getting some bags made and she sounded very knowledgeable and able to get the job done but this is not the case. You will not get any guidance on fabrics, sourcing as a service is a huge understatement in what she is offering, do not believe it. My trims were ordered by her at Etsy which she couldn't find even though they were delivered and I had to order them myself a ones she never even took care of. The samples had still not been completed after, at that point 3 months, (These were 4 sample tote style bags, nothing complicated), they could have been finished and waited on the trims for the drawstring. Furthermore she does not read her emails accurately, nor does she answer your questions in the emails. Time and time again I had to refer her back to our communication to ask why things were not going as I was told they would be. She is not capable of executing what needs to be done to manufacture or make samples and also just straight up lies. I was told a tag was being made for me in response to me saying that things were not moving along, but we never had talked about a tag at that point in the process. She said she took the artwork for the tag from my email signature, but I have no artwork in my signature and even if I did (which I don't) how can she decide what my tag should look like as the client without asking me? She said she mailed me fabrics that she did not, I had photo proof of what she sent and she still denied it, and she also told me so many times my bags would be ready on so and so day and they were absolutely not. After 4 months of having my project, at the last minute she is rushing her sewers to get my bags done. She had no info on the tag which I had at that point provided actual artwork for, did not know the elements of the design even tho she had a sample that I created for them to work from and had ALL the information. They were due to be delivered by a worker from the company and that day she writes and says that she needs to "go get thread to finish the edging of a ribbon" which I responded don't worry about that, please deliver as scheduled with all my fabric I ordered, pattern and samples and to send the final invoice for 2 extra samples I had requested in the beginning as I want to conclude this project. She says that it will have to be the next day, which I had already told her previously I was not available, and she replies she has no one to deliver. So which is it, that you need more thread or that you don't have anyone to deliver it? She over charges me and attempts to charge for 3 samples. At this point I am livid and telling her how unprofessional this experience has been and she says to not email her or I will be blocked. I say that I will be corresponding until I receive all my materials and what I have paid for. It takes another week to receive the invoice and my materials are sent to my place by a worker from her company. The materials and samples arrive and they are horribly done. the sewing is uneven, she has altered my design and added a opening in a way that I didn't ask for, and ordered incorrect fabric. One of the fabrics I requested was orange nylon and she ordered green. Additionally she merged fabrics incorrectly on one of the samples, one contains fabric I didn't order and all of them were supposed to be open on the bottom for a specific reason and she had them all sewn closed which she asked specifically about 3 days before I requested the end of the project. Avoid this company, do not work with them. Moe does not know how to multi-task or project manage and is straight up dishonest. She talks a good game but it's all a facade. Don't waste your time, money and energy, find a company who will treat your project with respect, competency and complete it in a timely manner. I wish I would have read these reviews before wasting my time and money. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Untrustworthy and unprofessional - avoid!! You will waste your time and money here. - don’t meet deadlines - full of excuses why they can’t get things done right or on time - dodge phone calls or rush you off the phone when you check in on your project (on or past deadlines they were supposed to have ready by) - caught them in lies about ordering fabric (they said they had 6 weeks prior and were waiting for a response, I reached out to the fabric vendor myself who sent me screenshots proving Custom Sewing Services had not been responding to them and had in fact not placed the order) - lost my sample fabric I sent to them for weeks - lost my production packaging in their factory for weeks - I cancelled my production project in October 2023 after being strung along for months of excuses and lies, but agreed to pay them fairly for work that has already been completed by them and their staff. Ed and Moe asked for me to be patient while they collected funds and would begin paying me in January 2024 and refund me the rest of my deposit in full by mid-March 2024. January came and went without them starting my refund as promised and I could not get a hold of them so I filed a case in small claims court. I still have not received the final $2300 of my refund from them. I wish I’d read the other reviews stating similar stories on here before I started working with them as the negative reviews here are all true.
