Delicious beers and food! Convenient parking. Was here for kitchen and server training; it was a great experience. Excellent staff. It's a large, welcoming space and fun to see a working brewery.
Went because we had Pub Passes to get a beer. Really enjoyed our time there. The beer was good with a decent amount of choices. The food was very good and delivered quickly. Their fries were very good. We will be going back.
Great environment, cool decor, and an absolute ton of beers to choose from. Great food, fun atmosphere, cool location.
Bottom Line: Beer very good, food a bit overpriced and no dedicated tap room, just a bar in a restaurant. We ordered an IPA an a Gose that were both very good. They are heavy on the IPA's and sours. Over half of the beers are IPA's. Food was a bit overpriced for the quality/flavor.. Got a $16 burger and a $12 "fig and pig". A burger for this price should be amazing, it was just good. The fig and pig was dry and was supposed to have prosciutto on it, tasted just like ordinary ham to me. Overall, the bang for the buck wasn't there for me, prolly will not return. Our server also seemed very inexperienced and a bit cold. Inexperienced maybe expected since they are new, but people skills were lacking. Hope you guys get it all worked out.
The interior is beautiful, with plenty of instagrammable locations and items ranging from a beautiful mural to funky paper animal trophies on the walls. The food is phenomenal as well. Just the fries are to die for! My main issue with this brewery is the quality of the beer. I'm hoping it is due to growing pains, but the beers are almost across the board sub-par. I'll still be sure to check back in a few months to see if these problems have passed.
I came here for the first time with a friend from out of town and we had a great time! While here we got flights to try some different beers. My personal favorite was the Strawberry Shortcake Bar. We both had a great experience at City Barrel Brewery and would highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back!
I came here for the first time and absolutely loved this hidden gem. I grew up eating Juicy Lucy hamburgers in Minnesota at the original location, so it brought a touch of home to me here in KC. I believe my server's name was Mckayla, and she was phenomenal! Such amazing energy, professionalism, and friendliness...kind of wanted her to just sit down and have dinner with our group. It looks like they have other activities throughout the week such as music bingo. Will definitely be going back.
Stopped in for a drink and an appetizer. Very cool location and atmosphere. We split the adult lunchable meat and cheese tray and each had a drink which everything tasted great. Our server was friendly and attentive.
Great beer and great food! We had the smash burger with onion rings and wings with fancy fries and everything tasted incredible, especially the ranch sauce. We also got a flight of beers and two sour tasters and they were great. 🍻
Brewery trifecta: great beers, available in small pours, menu listed on Untappd. Also we had a great chat with the general manager Ben. On the way out we saw the shirt that says " 'The Chairs are heavy.' Actual review". It was only then we inspected some chairs and confirmed, they are in fact heavy.
