took a much needed break from quarantine to enjoy an amazing collaboration dinner with Sura Eats. It was fantastic from start to finish! The team of cooks and servers were so kind and generous, and did a good job of trying to keep everyone safe and separate. Looking forward to a chance to eat from the regular city barrel menu, and also super excited about an upcoming noodle shop opening from the @sura team!
ordered the beef shawarma and bulgogi beef sandwiches and we were both extremely disappointed. The shawarma was served on half a slice of naan and was so small I thought they forgot to bring us the other half. The bun on the bulgogi beef tasted like they bought them from the great value brand at Walmart. I understand inflation is hard on restaurants, but charging nearly $20 for entrees with such poor quality ingredients is a slap in the face to your customers.
I was very surprised at how much I liked their food and beer, if you like ipa's this is your place because they have a lot to choose from. If I could change anything it would be that I wish they had a few west coast style, more hoppy type of IPA's to choose from. We'll definitely be back
If you're in the crossroads area you have to check this place out! First off, they make GREAT food, but I was lucky enough to stop in on a weekend where they were collaborating with Buck Tui bbq! I wish I had more of an appetite but I was so extremely pleased with their burn end french fries. And of course let's not forget the beer! I've yet to try a beer there that I didn't like, and there are plenty to choose from. Overall from the food, beer, staff, and the general ambience this place is at a level above most!
Ticketed Releases Review (Not Yet Open to Public). Delicious Beer. Friendly & Knowledgeable Owners. Had a sampling of their food it was tasty. Nice Building Location, cute layout, and concept. This will definitely be a top brewery in Kansas City.
We were in town visiting from Ottawa, Canada, and this was our 5th and final microbrewery visit in KC over 3 days, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was great, the food fantastic and our server was perfect for our needs (Sorry I forget his name). Would definitely visit again if back in KC for another football game! Edit: I've added a picture of the sticker we got at the brewery on our beer fridge :)
Excellent selection of beer and the food is great! I had the chicken strips with fries and absolutely no complaints. Service is fast and the atmosphere is perfect with several TVs for games.
Stopped in for a mid afternoon meal and a beer. We were seated right away by the friendly and happy staff. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly too. A nice selection of beer and eats which came fast. The kitchen staff does a great job of making the food presentable as well as great tasting. Thanks.
One of the better local breweries in KC. The beers on tap are great. My gf doesn’t really like beer and even she can always find something that she likes. The staff’s always friendly. There’s a nice second floor balcony to enjoy when the weather’s decent. Highly recommend.
Excellent food, great beers, and good service. We loved the way you could buy a beer and hang out outside while waiting for your table! The "day drinker ipa" was a standout! They also had bet good sours and barrel aged beers. Probably my favorite brewery in Kansas City! This was my first visit but I hope to be back.
