Excellent service, food was fantastic and it was such a neat/unique atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and lots of fun to converse with. If you’re in the area or want a fun little day trip Car No. 551 is definitely the place for food while checking out the River Market area!!!!
When you walk in you order at the register, found that out after sitting down. There was a lady sitting on a computer vaping the whole time we ate, the girl behind the counter took our order then ate ice cream, a man sitting outside came in to cook the food but never washed his hands, the Patti melt was super salty with no condiments offered, not good. I love supporting small locals but this one I can’t.
What an awesome blast from the past. I love the nostalgia of this place. Love that they serve Peter Mays kielbasa. Which is another legendary business in KC. Kudos to these folks for using local products.
An amazing slice of Kansas City, the burger was perfect and the macaroni salad was the best I've had. Would recommend to anyone wanting great food.
My niece and I heard of this place so we thought we would give it a try. She got the BLT and I the bacon cheeseburger. The meat was fresh and tastes of homemade vs a restaurant style meat. So good! They were to get their liquor license in a few days. It is definitely one of the spots we will visit again. Especially, this Spring and Summer. Such a great spot to sit in their outdoor space and hang.
Stopped in for some refreshing lemonade on a hot October day. They had jazz music playing and sitting on the patio was the perfect spot to be on Sunday afternoon. Excited to see them in this spot and will be back for good food and drink!
The owner was the cook every time we are there! What a great guy and loves and appreciates the business. Burgers are outstanding and so much fun eating in an old school street car! Love it

Stopped by on our way through town. This place has a really neat vibe and the food was the icing on top. Pretty cool place with the history to match. Will definitely be back next time we pass through!
We were brewery hopping and passed by. Turned around to check it out, service and atmosphere is amazing. Drinks were great too! I will definitely recommend to friends in the area, and will definitely stop by next time I’m in town.
