Our food was good but not exceptional. I was expecting more of a robust restaurant but it feels more like a coffee shop that serves food. I got a latte and it was just okay, and a bit on the cool side.
The place is really nice and perfect for reading or working on a laptop. Their coffee is delicious and they have light pastries. The best part is their egg sandwich it’s a must try.
Bower Cafe is an absolute gem in Philly! I stopped by during the holidays and enjoyed their Cinnamon Hot Latte Christmas special—it was perfectly spiced, creamy, and gave me all the cozy holiday vibes. I paired it with a chocolate croissant that was flaky, buttery, and downright delicious. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. They really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. What truly sets Bower Cafe apart is their private room. Whether you’re hosting a podcast, spinning tracks as a DJ, or holding a meeting, the space is beautifully designed and well-equipped for any creative or professional need. Highly recommend for the excellent coffee, delicious treats, and warm, inviting atmosphere! This is easily my go-to spot in Philly!
Stopped in today and had not only a delicious latte (perfectly frothed oat milk, smooth espresso, and house made vanilla bean syrup with real vanilla beans) but a wonderful experience with the staff. Genuinely incredible, friendly service who you can tell are great at their job. I also had the opportunity to taste the new OJ espresso drink which isn't usually my thing but honestly the espresso is so good it kind of works! I don't often go out to buy coffee but when I do I'll definitely be coming back here. Thank you!
Charming spot that seats around 50, yet thoughtfully laid out so it still feels cozy and personal. There’s a mix of stools and tables both indoors and out, offering options for different vibes. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese—simple, but done just right. The bagel had great texture, and the amount of cream cheese was perfect—generous enough without overwhelming it. Definitely planning to return to try more items and soak in the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Cute little cafe off of the busy street. I saw a lot of people come in and out from what looked like work breaks but the food and drinks all smelled lovely! Staff were very sweet.
This place in one word. GREATNESS. Now, what allowed that greatness to be harnessed…one man. Connor Willhoit. His outstanding service and chivalry was much appreciated on this fine Sunday morning. Absolutely no better way to start the day, than coffee with Connor.
Food: unbelievable. Service: a little on the slow side. Vibes: good!! I tried their Brett sandwich, and it was delicious!! The smoked salmon combined beautifully with the pickles, aioli, and cheese on the multigrain:) There was a lot of seating, and the interior was modern and cozy. All in all, I would come here on a slower morning or to meet up with friends as I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my toasted sandwich.
