I called about a month in advance to reserve a driver to ship my car. I didn't hear anything for the entire month and a week before it was supposed to be picked up I called to make sure that someone was still coming and they said that I will be contacted a few hours before pickup. No one called and the day of pickup they informed me that the driver had cancelled...... this screwed me over because I chose this company because they gave me the best quote. Now I have to find another company at a higher rate because of these guys poor communication! Terrible on their part and they lost a customer.
So appreciate Marjorie’s assistance to solve a crisis getting our car home to New England!

My husband and I live in Seattle, and my parents were wanting to ship a used vehicle up to us. I started the research process with the hope of finding a place that was A) local to DFW/TX, B) straightforward and easy to work with, and C) committed to shipping the vehicle in a timely and cost-effective manner. Bold met all of those expectations and more. We worked with James, who was able to quickly set us up with a driver and a pick-up date. James was professional, helpful, and easy-to-reach from beginning to end. The driver, Maxim, was courteous and worked quickly. Pickup happened in Fort Worth on a Monday, and the vehicle was dropped off, in perfect condition, in Seattle on a Friday. Pretty amazing stuff. Please use these folks for your auto transport needs, especially if you are shipping out of DFW. They are excellent and a rarity.
My first contact was Kevin. Being a first time shipper I needed assurance in these scary times, when it's hard to trust a stranger. Kevin gave me the assurance I needed I trusted him, he was very patient with my zillion questions. My vehicle was shipped and delivered ahead of the schedule. Very impressive. I requested Bold Auto Transport to ship my car late October/ early November. We agreed to a price of $775 since they offered military discount. About 2 days before my car was to be taken the broker called me and notified me that the Driver wanted more money than what was agreed. I reminded them that we agreed to $775. The driver agreed to the pricing of $775. I placed my deposit of $120, so I had a remaining balance was $655 and once the driver arrived he told me that my car was over the weight limit and so required more money upon pickup. So, instead of $775 I paid $995. On top of the price gouging. This company does not have strong communication with it's Drivers. It took me as the client to get updates about where the Driver was. I was expecting my car by a certain day because the Broker informed me that it would be there by no later than Friday at my destination. Saturday morning I saw that I still have not received any word on my vehicle, so I called to find out that Driver's truck broke down in Arizona and will not arrive until Monday. They will do the job, but they do not honor their word, do not expect them to be timely or keep you updated of changes that could occur and will nickel and dime you anyway they can. Update: it's been a couple months after the initial incident and I am not satisfied how they operate. The day after the review posted here I received calls and texts from a woman who begged me to take down the review or she might be fired. I then talked to the manager who essentially blamed me for not knowing better on how pricing works and how I should have called him (which I did during both pickup and drop off and did not answer his). Instead of giving a refund he offered a credit $300 for the next time I book with them which after this I definitely will not. I received a notification from their customer service soon after that they would look into the matter and have not heard back since. Bold Auto Transport did not help with my issue and it's not an experience I want to deal with again. Update: The initial issue started in November 2023 and it is now August 2024. The money back email they posted in their response has not gotten back to me even after submitting the requested information. Again this company has poor communication between the drivers and their clients.
