Best House on Campus

If you want a nice house and a good landlord, rent from Tom! He was the best landlord I have had in all my rental experiences and his property that I lived in was exceptional. He was very timely in all maintenance requests, even down to small things such as changing a light bulb that burnt out or checking out a toilet that was making funny sounds. Tom truely cares about his properties, and that shows in how nice each of them are and the amount of time that is put in to maintaining them properly. Along with this, he really cares about the experience and safety of his tenants. Other landlords...be more like Tom!

Having just moved out of an awful apartment, I’ve been reminiscing on the days I rented with Best House on Campus. I lived in one of their houses for 3 years with Grant as my landlord and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Him and his maintenance staff Craig were quick to respond to literally anything and everything. Communication was honestly insanely fast, Grant or Craig were almost guaranteed to respond to questions/concerns in at least a day, but oftentimes quicker. Rent was extremely reasonable and he was very transparent about any intentions to increase rent. The house I lived in was well loved and well taken care of. Overall, Grant and his team were super reasonable and understanding people and if I ever had a reason to move back to Como I would rent with them in a heartbeat. I can’t recommend this place enough but especially UMN college students, this is a perfect place for you.

I am going into my 5th year/lease cycle with Best House on Campus. (5 bed, 4 bath in the Como area of Mpls) I have stayed here so long because it is affordable, great location, updated and clean. But the real reason I've stayed is because of the landlord! I am aware that's not the normal response to landlords, but Tom is incredibly responsive, has always come over or sent handyman Keith for any issues, both immediate or not. Anything from a water heater being out (someone was over within 24 hours), a broken drawer, or any other issue, the response is timely and the issue always fixed quickly. If there is a large snowfall, he will come over and do a quick plow of the driveway just to help us out. I once asked for an improvement in the kitchen and he sent someone out within the week to caulk between the baseboard and the tile, because I had told him there were food crumbs and dirt that would get trapped there. Whether it is maintenence (emergency or normal) or improvements to the house, these guys are always on top of it, and we always appreciate it! I know some people have the opposite experience with their landlord, so I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Tom, his son Grant, and Keith look out for us all these years. Thank you!

I genuinely cannot say enough about how great Grant and the rest of his team was as a landlord. Quickly fixed any issues, got us new appliances without us asking, and was great with communication. He is the best landlord I have ever had and will be very hard to top!

I rented with Best House on Campus for one year and it was the best renting experience I have had on campus. The maintenance was extremely fast and reliable. You get your own groupchat with the repair man in my case Craig who is super nice and would even fix things we didn't ask him to fix. Tom is the main landlord and is extremely kind and understanding. The rent is very reasonable for how nice the houses are. Everything in the house is kept up to date and very clean when you move in. I only have positive things to say about this rental agency. I would suggest anyone that is considering renting from Best House on Campus to go forward with it. You wont find better a more fair landlord on campus.
