I had a little scare with an outlet that arced and I called another company (let's call them Trickety Split) that came out same day. After pulling out a few outlets and switches talking about voltage drop, back stabbing, and daisy chaining, they successfully intimidated me to decide to switch out all of my outlets/switches. They then quoted a cost that I thought was really high (but I don't know anything about electrical work) so I decided to get other quotes. Thankfully, I talked to Ryan from AE and even shared the quote I already received. He was very helpful and knowledgable and the quote he gave (which included everything the bad company was going to do plus switching out the smoke detectors) was below half what the bad company quoted. Dale, Joe, and Davis along with a team of 4 other guys completed the work efficiently and professionally. They did a great job and went above and beyond installing an outlet needed for a tv and ordering an outside outlet cover (not to mention everything they moved to get to the outlets). Thank you all! This is definitely a company you want to do business with.

Absolute Professionals. I contacted several Jacksonville, FL electric companies for a quote to run 6x Cat 6 cables from a ground floor to 3 bedrooms on the second floor, on the other side of the house in an existing single family home. Not only did American Electric of Jacksonville come in the lowest cost, they bid the job, and completed the job above standard. Fred and Ishmael were punctual, courteous, professional, and impeccably clean. In addition to the great job, they both thoroughly explained the work they did, and even put up with my incessant questions - for no additional cost. Our experience with American Electric of Jacksonville was A+. We had extensive work done which took several days to complete, but Fred and his Assistant Cam worked very hard. They arrived on time in the morning and got to work right away. Communication was great as well as their professionalism. Their work was neat and tidy and they did an awesome job of cleaning up after all of the work was complete. Rose is great as well. She answered all of my questions and was extremely helpful through the entire process. I give everyone a 5 star easily. I definitely recommend them if you ever need electrical work done. They do it right and make sure the customer is happy!

Called and booked a same day appointment with Miranda, who explained the fees and which electrician would be coming. Electricians Wesley and Ismael arrived on time. The problem was immediately identified and the cause completely explained and repaired. Both techs were incredibly professional and respectful with outstanding customer service skills.

Wesley and Micah were fantastic! They came out to replace some outlets, arrived early, worked fast and efficiently. They pointed out some concerns and educated me on things to look for in the future. I had a great experience with American Electric. The electrision, Wesley, explained to me everything he was going to be doing in my home upfront.. He gave me a time frame for when he would be done and did not leave any mess from pulling the wires and cutting in my outlets. I highly recommend this company. It was such an easy and great experience from setting up the appointment to having the work completed to paying for the service. The best electrical business i have ever used....and so friendly too! I highly recommend them. Rarely do i find such quality service!

They explained everything they were doing so that we could understand. They also purchased some supplies but checked with us before purchasing to make sure we agreed with the cost of the supplies. She prepared the quote for me very quickly and is very responsive. Teri is also wonderful and made sure to confirm the install dates and keep me informed on the electrician's arrival times. Wesley and Robert took the time to come out beforehand and explained the work to be performed and the sequence of events. Wesley and Robert were very professional and so courteous!
