American Electric

I have little experience with this company, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The receptionist had a bad attitude and when I asked for a quote she abruptly told me that they don’t quote their work and that it’s $145 an hour plus parts. First off if you are having a bad day check it at the door, covid era or not, customer service come first. Especially when the customer is being nice and asking how you are doing today. Secondly I’ve spoken with a few electricians today and all of them all willing and happy to give quotes on the work that I am asking for. After reading other bad reviews I am actually happy that you guys showed your true colors in the first two minutes so I don’t have to waste anymore of my time. Hope you have a great rest of your day. Update to the owner: You can use that excuse only so many times. When I am done with a call and then turn around to leave a review on the link I called from I’m not making a mistake. This further shows what kind of company you are running where you won’t just stand up and own your short comings. Thank you for your response but I am not impressed. Good day.

I had Scott and James show up to the house on the exact scheduled time to install a Tesla wall charger. They were friendly, courteous and willingly answered any questions. Liked them well enough to schedule another appointment for a few other small projects.

I was looking for an electrician to put a outlet in my wall for a television I am going to hang on wall. I didn't want the power cable to show because my existing outlet was near the baseboard of the wall. I called American Electric and from the moment they I made contact with them they were extremely courteous and professional. When the technicians came to my home they were once again extremely courteous, professional, knowledgeable and HONEST. They were diligent workers practiced social distancing, got a clear understanding of what I needed done, explained in detail how they could do what I needed and then in 20 minutes had completed the job perfectly. Then to top it all off, they were reasonably priced. I had called a few other company's and they were literally quoting me DOUBLE for the work that I needed done. So needless to say I am so grateful I kept searching until I found American Electric. I would recommend this company to ANYONE who needs electrical work done at there home, they were truly a blessing to me and I will DEFINITELY hire them again to do any electrical work that I need done in the future.

We started with requesting service via online. American Electric left us a voicemail within 24 hours; we replied after hours and their answering service promptly took a message, after which we scheduled for service. We were surprised to get an appointment at 0730. Wesley and Michich (apologize if misspelled) arrived early and waited until 0730 to knock on door. Both were courteous and professional. They reviewed the work to be done and got to it. Once complete, they asked if I wanted them to take any of the boxes or old fixtures, and swept up. Great job, thank you. (Suggestion: recommend showing the client fixtures are operational - although in my case I got to it before they probably would have.)

Five star service, top notch. They arrived when they said they would; they acted and were dressed professionally, they listened as I explained my specific needs, and the electricians gave recommendations which were reasonable and improved upon what I had asked for (ultimately increasing my overall satisfaction with their end result). The team of two worked a full 8-hour shift and lastly (and most important to most) I was charged exactly what I was told and expected to pay. I was happy to have professionals that worked efficiently, and knew what they were doing. I will be hiring them again on another job. With that said, people who hire them need to listen to their recommendations (they are trying to save you money). For starters, when they say to buy the stuff you want installed ahead of time; do it. They time it takes them to go get it if they don't have it in their truck is $$$/hour they aren't actively working on your job/needs. They day they arrived, I stayed home and made several runs to Home Depot to get parts. I got exactly what I wanted, and they were able to keep working while I went to the store. As a licensed Mechanical PE (Professional Engineer), I'd be happy to have them on any job site I was engineer on.

I would recommend contacting American Electric for all of your electric wants, needs or projects. Wesley was my electrician who arrived on time and installed two ceiling fans within an hour. He provided excellent customer service explaining how the ceiling fans would operate with the light switches and remote controls; he offered feedback and estimates on how long it would take to install side lights outside of our garage and was just an overall polite individual. American Electric was the only company that I contacted requesting to have ceiling fans installed and I am glad that I chose to select them as my electrical company as I will be contacting them for more projects in the future. Highly recommend American Electric!!!

I am very happy with the work performed today. They were on time, friendly, professional and did a great job. I highly recommend American Electric. The office staff is also very nice and made the scheduling process very easy.

Air conditioning stopped working. Called my HVAC service and they promptly came out at 6PM. They found it was an electrical problem caused by a PMD inserted by the whole house generator company, American Electric. Called them and had to leave a voice mail. Called the next morning and told they were fully booked and could come the next day. I made that appointment and appealed to them for a time today. They said they would try and they did come around 2PM. They put in a new PMD (this had been replaced 10 months ago so it was covered by warrantee) and fixed another component. I appreciated their prompt response. Jesse and ? did the work. Jesse had replaced the PMD before. Would have been nice to have a night service like the HVAC company.
