Advance Electric of N. Florida is a top notch electrical company that performs electrical services for residential and commercial buildings in Jacksonville. We are a small licensed general contracting firm, originally from Miami and we spent the last two years developing an upscale concrete block home and unattached garage on the St. John's River. Originally we hired another company to pull the permit and complete the job. Unfortunately the owner disappeared in the middle of the project. We scrambled to locate another company that would be willing to undertake the previous contractor's work and pull a new permit. Brice of Advance Electric came out and gave us an estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He sent out Paul, the company's top technician. Paul attacked each part of the job with success, effortlessly. Not only that, he was very polite, efficient and cleaned up after himself. The company did what they would say they would do, supplied the materials and now everything works as it should. We were very happy with our experience with Advance Electric of N. FL. and we can say without reservation that they are one of the best companies that we have ever worked with.

I have been doing business with Advanced Electric for quite some time now, I am very pleased with their work ethic‘s. I would definitely recommend them, there is not one need that I have requested that they haven’t been able to fulfill, they are very professional and they listen to the customers needs and no matter how big or small the task is, they aim for customer satisfaction, they’re very honest, when asking them if it’s worth doing. I will absolute be using them for my future electrical work. Mr. Bill, and his crew are very reliable, professional, and trustworthy.

The quality of service and professionalism was outstanding. We had five ceiling fans installed, a chandelier replaced and two dimmer plates installed. An estimate was given to me by phone and confirmed by email. The skill and work by Paul and Chris was exceptional. They started on time and completed the job to our complete satisfaction. Technicians were great, however, I was shocked looking at the cost being very high for the type of job performed. They charged me for 3 hours of labor included the time of departure to the house from their location. Typically service time starts from.time of starting the work, it doesn't include driving time. There was even a delay of 10 minutes from the community gate to get to the house. The scheduling center were not clearly communicating the costs and how they were determined.

After submitting a request for a quote to install outlets, they contacted me in a timely manner. While installing my new outlets, they also looked at a potential problem I had with a light fixture at no extra charge. I’d hire them again. Professional and knowledgeable.

We are so grateful to Advance Electric for helping us every time we have an electrical issue or question. They are very professional and go out of their way to take care of us - even when I call first thing in the morning and they are booked solid. They are a wonderful company and we will continue to recommend them to our friends and neighbors!

Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly workers. It was more like a group of friends fixing my home than a group of strangers. The workers were very polite and easy to talk to. The work was done well and they brought in an extra crew to accommodate my limited amount of time available. I would hire them again with no hesitation.

I had a bad experience with the owner of the company and would not recommend them based on the way he treated me. They gave us an estimate for a simple job and we questioned the quote bc the estimate seemed like a long amount of labor. We were told the job would take 2 hours of work and it was $100 an hour plus parts. The job was easily finished in less then an hour with no trouble. They still wanted to charge me the inflated price that was clearly quoted wrong on the time the job would take. I spoke with the owner and told them I was not paying for extra time that wasn’t spent and he immediately became rude and combative and said people like you try to get a cheaper price after. I explained I didn’t want a cheaper price I wanted to pay for the hours they worked. After being completely disrespected and yelled at by him he agreed to charge me a lower price. This was a very terrible experience and will not use them again. It was one thing to have a misunderstanding, but to be talked to like I am a terrible person and treated like that will not be tolerated. I felt like they over quoted the time by a lot to make more money off the small job.

I reached out to several electricians to get a quote for installing a 240 V outlet (NEMA 14-50) in my garage in order to charge an electric car. Brice was easy to talk to and quickly gave me a quote based on a picture of my breaker box. I got some other quotes and Advanced Electric of North Florida came in significantly lower than the rest, so I went with them. They came out and the guys were great and the work was done professionally. I even asked for a tweak to what they were doing (wanted it installed flush mount instead of surface mount, which I hadn't clarified ahead of time) and they were able to accommodate. Would use again.

I called to inquire about some minor electrical repairs for my rental property. I provided them with my contact and billing info. We agreed payment could be made by check on the day of service. 2 hours later they called me and said they need the address of my personal residence so that they can come after me if the check bounces. I’m a landlord and use a PO Box for my business. I gave them the PO Box address and contact information. I explained to them that my personal residence is confidential. Then they declined the job. I’ve been a landlord for 12 years and, until now, never had a contractor pre-judge and treat me like a thief. I will gladly take my money elsewhere.
