Tom’s Sons International Pleating took my dream veil and make it a reality. I’m so grateful for their team, especially Tom and Jadyn who helped me personally. No idea was off limits, and the final product was absolutely breathtaking. I am so grateful for their attentiveness, detail, and passion when it came to creating my wedding veil. I highly recommend working with them.

I had a wonderful experience working with International Pleating to create my "dream skirt". They are quick, efficient, and happy to answer all my questions about what types of pleats to order and how to sew with accordion pleats. My vintage-inspired skirt turned out amazing!

I sent some fabric (I was able to ship it directly from Mood) to Tom’s Sons to be pleated. George was so incredibly helpful through the whole process and was able to help me choose the exact pleat size I would need based on inspiration pictures I sent him. The fabric arrived to me in amazing condition (it was packaged very carefully) and I could not be happier! If I ever need fabric pleated again, I will be doing it through Tom’s Sons.

This is a long overdue review…I had my wedding late October 2020. I was looking for a unique ivory veil, and there are several pleated options on Etsy to choose from. However, International Pleating’s design was far superior in countless ways (and I’m a big research geek). Most other sellers did simple straight tiny pleats that would bunch and not cascade on the body well, and another one I found was exorbitantly priced with a much longer lead time. I stumbled on their page merely 2 weeks before my wedding and asked if there was anything possible to meet my date. They responded immediately and were able to work with me to make my dream come true. They were transparent about the process and gave me day to day updates, so I wouldn’t get worried. These “sunburst” pleats required a senior pleater, and they were short staffed due to mandates, but they were willing to figure out a way to make it happen. I could not believe my eyes when it showed up early to my doorstep!! This is a family business, and it shows - our conversations were cordial and never transactional; it always felt like catching up with an old friend. They even reached out post-wedding to see how it went! I am forever grateful for all the hoops they jumped through to make our wedding day special, especially given the pandemic. The wedding was fully virtual, but the I still got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS from all the guests, men and women equally! Even with my shoddy camera quality, they all noticed the pleats/details of the veil. To this day, I still am reminded by my girlfriends how beautiful my veil was, and they cannot wait to touch/see it in person when the pandemic is over. Another amazing service is that they do all sorts of pleating for various industries. Big fashion houses, custom orders, even the computer industry! So friendly! Really helpful people and they do a great job. They're really invested in making sure your work turns out perfectly. Love this place. When they do machine work, it's starts at $100 so make sure you get a good bit of work done at once. Much lower minimum for hand pleating (which is kind of the art and soul of it anyway!) and the work is always flawless.

I discovered International Pleating in 2010- and it changed my life. Leon and George Kaljian are super friendly and informative. They take the time to understand your garment and then advise you on the best pleats to realize your design. They are remarkably knowledgeable and the family has a long history in the pleating industry. This is RARE to find nowadays. I learned so much about pleating and used this to improve my own pleated designs. Always professional, on time with orders and honest- International Pleating is a true gem in NYC's garment district.

This is a very special company with a long family history of pleating expertise. They are so great to work with cause they deliver impeccable quality and take on all sorts of (custom) jobs. There are no words, but I will sure try. I am not a designer by any means. I am, rather, someone who takes up a project without knowing what it will entail, and I learn as I go. I found International Pleating online when my dress maker informed me that the material for my dress would need to be purchased and sent somewhere else to be pleated before she could make it. I'm a perfectionist and refuse to spend decent money on something I can see flaws in, which meant I would be selecting a place in New York, the fashion capital. International Pleating won my business on their FAQ page when someone posted a question asking why the seams of their pleated skirt were puckering, and they confidently responded: "It was pleated with a crooked grain, which means we did not pleat it." I couldn't be happier with my choice. George is, to say the very least, UH-mAzing. He is perfectly professional, knows exactly what he's doing, and is extremely diligent about his work and the impeccable quality of service he gives to his customers. Being on the opposite end of the country, we could only communicate and work together virtually, making the material color selection the only mild challenge we faced. From what George had already demonstrated, I trusted his judgement entirely and his ability to know what I wanted and was looking for. If what I had picked out in my mind didn't look all that great, I gave him full authority to challenge it. He took such delicate care of my ideas and wants for the elegant, understated dress that I am having made that he brought in other pros just to make sure I really did get the best. The material came last Friday, and Oh.My.Gawd. The material (quality, color and pleating) is exactly what I pictured in my head, and it is stunning. Right down to the way the material is packaged and labeled, George marks the standards upheld by International Pleating. I highly recommend International Pleating for anything fashion. They are, to put it simply, stellar.

I love Lois, one of their staff, she is very smart and helpful. She guided me through the processes of different types of pleating and measurements which require a lot numbers. I highly recommend this company!! They are very professional and their services are great!!
