The Expedition School

On a whim we decided to try them out and were so glad that we did. My boyfriend and I rented a tandem kayak for one hour for only $20. The employees there were patient and helpful and although I was nervous they really helped us feel as ease. I’m so glad that we tried them and would definitely go back!

I've rented a paddleboard from The Expedition School twice now, and both experiences have been fantastic! The staff is always friendly and personable, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Plus, the cost is so affordable compared to other rental spots I've been to in the past. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a great time on the water!

I’d like to start my review by letting everyone know that this is the best place to rent any water craft in ATX!!! The staff was professional, courteous and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable over the phone and in person. I can honestly say that if it was not for Chapa and the crew who made sure my friend felt comfortable renting the correct watercraft on a busy 4th of July weekend we would have missed out on such an amazing time on the lake!!! Located a bit east of 35 makes it worthwhile as it allows you to get a much better view of the downtown skyline. The best price point we found with impeccable service . I’ll be back definitely again and with more friends next time! Recommend!!

We went here on the spur of the moment to learn to stand up paddle, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. For one thing, we ran late getting to our lesson, and our guide was patient, accommodating and professional. I was the one adult, and my children were there, too. The guide was helpful to all ages, and we were up and paddling in minutes. The lagoon is the perfect place to start learning; protected, lots of space, not a lot of people. Once you have confidence, you can head out to the river very easily.
