Great little co op. I really enjoy the selection of produce from local producers. They also have a GREAT selection of vegetarian, vegan, and international products. As others have said, pricing can be a bit high and they don't have as wide a selection of products as larger stores. But this is a co op not an Acme. So if you are looking for ethical shopping and local produce this is for you. The items may be fewer, but they are quality.

Small but impressive selection—lots of local goods, and vegan/organic selections. EXPENSIVE! Just saying. More of a “treat yourself” market, rather than every day. Regardless, it’s really nice and they have really cool, unique stuff.

Prices were definitely high when they first opened, but they're a bit more reasonable now. Definitely a good place to go to pick up a few things if you're in the area. Update--Still go sometimes, but some of their produce and other products can be highly suspect. They don't seem to do nearly enough to keep turned and expired food off the shelves unfortunately. I've had to return a lot of items after taking them home and finding that they were moldy/no longer usable. So they definitely need to work on quality control

I was so exited to find a little co-op right around the corner from my new apartment and promptly paid for a membership. Unfortunately all my hopes and dreams of having a great little store that supports local products and businesses were quickly eradicated. I am not a cheap person and routinely pay extra for better quality and to support small/local businesses/fair trade practices. This is honestly the worst Co-op I have ever been to --in any city --in my entire life. Disgustingly over priced and little to no reward for paying for a membership. The saddest looking assortment of produce -- most don't look edible and some are practically decomposing on the shelves. A tiny container of rotten berries will run you 6 dollars. And unless you want to carry mold around with you, there is no way to return it. Many expiration dates for things that have long shelf lives are nearly expired. A can of condensed cream of mushroom soup is $5.00. 7 dollars for a half gallon of milk that at whole foods costs 5 dollars. There are so many more examples I could give but I think I've made my point. If you think this is a quality establishment, I feel truly sorry for you. I will however continue to go there-- when I have no other choice.

Still under construction, but the plans look great. Update - Well, it's now open to the public, this cooperatively owned grocery. Great produce with good prices. They are waiting on adjusting their packaged grocery inventory to better meet the mutual needs of its members and the community at large. Like all co-ops, thousands of households own an equal share with the power and responsibility of ownership in the operation and success of this enterprise.

This place gets better every time I go. Local produce, organic brands, and a magnificent use of space. If they had Koeze cream nut butter and could find a way to bring down the cost of Silk Soy Milk, I would have zero complaints!

Great selection considering its size and considering its location! Best peanut butter in Philly I can't vouch for the cost of the produce, but I can say it always looks fresh and delish. I'd give them a 5, but they're kinda hostile to my service dog (anytime we visit, like 3 ppl will remind us they don't allow dogs). I even got a free donut there once!

Well stocked with high quality produce and groceries, and a sorely needed alternative to the big-box markets in the area. Earnest and dedicated people worked for years to make this place a reality, a legitimate co-op owned by its members (full disclosure, including yours truly).

Nice store and great selection of grocery items but the produce quality leaves a lot to be desired. I have bought multiple items of produce that have gone bad or molded within 24 hours. That being said, some produce items are excellent like their tomatoes and berries. I would advise if you are going to buy produce - use it same day for a meal you planned.
