I attended one of their wine courses as a complete novice and I left feeling competent and informed. Beyond the knowledge gained there was a wine tasting of eight different varietals from around the world that introduced me to wines I would have never thought I would like. This was a fantastic experience I can't suggest enough!
Mark took us on a tour of Madeira: the culture, food, and drink. I felt transported there and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Mark never ceases to amaze with his knowledge of food, drink, and excellent service.
I recently attended RHI's wine focused class. The curriculum was informative, entertaining, and relevant which is a key for my ability to learn. I left the class with a great deal of technical knowledge on viticulture as well the artistic freedoms involved in the vinification process. If you are looking to gain a working knowledge of wine that you can use in the process of purchasing wine, serving wine, or just being more confident in selling wine as part of your career this class is a great option. Mark is engaging and keeps the students involved throughout.
I recently moved to Las Vegas, and had to get my Tam(alcohol training card) to start bartending. I went in to take my test at RHI and met Mark Steele. He was awesome! Not only was he super professional and nice, but he took the time(even though I’m sure he’s a busy guy) to sit down with me and give really really good information about how to land a bartending job here. Using his advice, I got hired full time at a great restaurant on the strip. He also offers a hospitality class for people who want to further their education regarding hospitality. I didn’t take the class, but after meeting Mark and learning how awesome and helpful he was, I can only imagine you’d be getting your money’s worth. I recommend this business very highly.
