TLDR: PSE prive energy price gouges and has awful customer service. You have no choice but to use them but they are incompetent and greedy. They take advantage of no market competition and laugh at the little guy. PSE is the worst. The price hikes with no warning is ridiculous. Their customer service is awful and with no competition they have 0 insensitive to be better. They also bombard you with "Flex Event" notifications, but even if you are "in the top three of homes in your area" you get no discount, no anything. Just "hey thanks for using less energy, now your prices will go up." The transparency is abysmal. If I had ANY choice I would not use PSE. It is upsetting that the generation before me voted to keep energy private and allow PSE to have mo market competition. They lobbied for it and now abuse it. Other places with public energy pay half as much as we do and PSE knows it but does not care at all. Their pathetic copy paste responses are a joke and offer 0 genuine care to listen to customers (why would they care you have no choice but to be their customer or freeze to death)
Review is for EV - charging stations and APP. Our first experience renting an EV during a recent visit to the Seattle area. Out of all EV charging options the PSE app was by far the easiest to download and most seamless in utilizing. In particular liked being able to activate charging stations via scanning QR code. Other provider's apps/access were not as user friendly. Well done!
Make sure you double check that they cancel your service when you move out, this company does not care about you and will not refund you for bills at a residence YOU DONT EVEN RESIDE AT ANYMORE. Double check your bills every month, this company is predatory as a monopoly since they can get away with it. To elaborate: I called them and asked for them to cancel my account at one property a year ago and they never did.
PSE needs competition, they price gauge the hell out of you
I walked in to chat with someone about some issues I was having with a community I manage, and before I could even get a word in edgewise, the woman I was speaking with, cut me off, and said they "don't handle that type of thing in this office." She was very rude, and wasn't understanding my request because she wouldn't let me finish a sentence before cutting me off. When I asked what type of things they do handle in this office for future reference, I was cut off again and was told to call the 1-800 number. I can completely understand if a specific location isn't involved in certain matters, but not even listening to my request, and shooing me away is unacceptable. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.
Customer service level is extremely poor. I first time called and the rep stated will come turn on the gas at 5 to 6 pm, the late at 7:22 pm someone called in with blocked IDwant to turn on the gas. But I am not available that time. The next day I have rescheduled into Tuesday 1pm to 12am which is very bad timing. I don't think it's reasonable for technicians to come in late at evening time... Like 10pm or 12am... Their customer service is very very poor. She suggest me to call on Sunday and I called, the woman named jamie is even ruder than previous representative. She refused to call me 15 minutes before the technician comes. The house has been out of gas for the last 3 month. All They need to do is to turn on the gas. And the gas company won't accommodate to call me 15 minutes before. Her attitude and unreasonable behavior sucked really bad. Just a simple request, they won't even do.. Plus, that house is vacant and no one lives there and it is extremely cold inside. No body is going to survive there at all.
Ever since I had to switch over to pse, my power goes out at least once every other month for hours.
