Parker Engineering has been great to work with, in utilizing my company for logistics. They set precise and acheivable goals for delivery and have displayed immense professionalism at every level. They are diligent, trustworthy and look forward to more commercial work with them in the future.
I wish there was a way to adequately explain the disappointment with the service provided. Without going into too much detail I will list the problems. 1. Person who came was not fluent enough in English to have a conversation. ( I am not a native English speaker, and am an immigrant myself so have much sympathy with this situation. 2. Never left a review of what was done or checked so I had to call the office so that a proper information debrief was provided. 3. The person who came never went to the u it’s themselves located on the roof( I live in a building) to note that compressor was on its last legs and never informed me that the Freon used was R 22 so that replacing the compressor would entail checking on this aspect of the functioning of the ac. 4. When I called back to inform Parker as an FYI because I had wasted time and would have gladly spent the 13 k with them if someone knowledgeable, with a complete evaluation, and with a good explanation had come to my house. I simply called to tell them that in the future they should make sure that the technician actually check the compressor even when the issue identified by the homeowner is a thermostat problem. I was told by the person on the phone that I was wrong. That they have well trained technicians, etc. Unfortunately, this manager wasn’t even employed at the time so has no knowledge of what happened. My point is , she could simply have said thank you and gotten off the phone, even if she thought she was correct. Instead she insisted on telling me how I was wrong and didn’t understand the process. The truth is I’ve owned homes in several states and dealt with many HVAC companies and never worked with one I could trust less. Many companies I have used have actually been great. I would not use Parker unless You already know what the problem is and can’t fix it yourself. They will not go the extra mile and if there is a problem it is very likely they will blame you and will not try to find a solution or provide expert explanations. --------------------------- In regards to facts - I never confirmed that the compressors were running. That is a lie. What I said was that we hadn't used the unit. We have two in the house and the technician was looking at the one in the guest area. I also told Shirley(the one who initially told me she wasn't working there then, perhaps as a way to deflect responsibility) that it had been impossible to communicate with the technician as he barely spoke english. Additionally, the I found out from the person who came out yesterday that the units were from 2002. So I am a little surprised that Parker can state without reservation that there was 'no indication that the units were in a state of decline'. Thank goodness that I found someone good who was able to provide this information because , again, my new people who I am glad to pay 13,000 too, actually looked at the unit! Parker never made mention of Freon or the level or that it was R 22 and I would have trouble replacing it. The most galling thing of all is that I was only calling them to give them an FYI and said to her she could just pass this up the line. Instead she decided to insult me. This is a bad company and coming back at me with complete falsehoods is another proof. Avoid at all costs dealing with this company. Also, Shirley should get some counseling on telephone etiquette.
My family has been utilizing Parker since 2006 as our HVAC maintenance company. We signed a maintenance contract for bi annual service. A few years ago, we found out that the service tech had not put in new filters as he had stated he had. We, therefore, went months without filters in our HVAC units. When we discovered this, we called Parker. We spoke to Jamice, a senior manager. She apologied and said it would e er happen again. It did. Last week, we hired an independent contractor to check out the units, as we'd all suffered from higher allergic symptoms this spring. Guess what? No filters. While we'd been paying our annual contract fee, Parker Heating and Air was not fulfilling their part of the binding contract, which had cost us several trips to the allergist. We find this lack of integrity very alarming, not to mention the breech in the binding contract on their part. They're now hung up on whether they came to do maintenance last fall vs last spring; however, that doesn't matter: the tech did not replace the old filter with a new filter when s/he was at our home last, during a bi-annual service call for which we'd paid. I would not recommend this company. Their excuse was "oh, that technician is no longer with us", as if that makes it ok. Stay away from this company. Plus, there is a female who does the residential scheduling who is consistently rude and uncooperative. They don't seem to want your business.
I am super grateful for the Parker team! They went above and beyond to take care of our HVAC needs! I highly recommend Parker engineering and mechanical!
