Superb coffee. The sandwich didn't disappoint either. The restrooms are out of order! Like, completely. Somebody bring them into compliance!

This place has been my favorite part of taking the train for years. Coffee is always fresh, sandwiches are delicious, & the whole thing for just over $5. And always super nice people.

Amazing variety and delicious food. I refuse to give 5 stars, however, because the woman behind the counter is extremely rude. I asked her for her help in finding something and her response was, "You'll have to look. I'm busy." It was me and TWO others in the store.

The worst rueben sandwich I ever had. For $7.99 you'll get two tiny pieces of bread half filled with meat, little bit of sauerkraut, and almost no dressing. It was very dry and not tasty at all.

This store ( 2930 chestnut street ) needs to be avoided at all costs . They capitalize on prime location with high student footfall , offering nothing but rude , condescending behavior devoid of any semblance of customer service . They outright refused to help open a can and after being called out merely shrugged their shoulders . The staff only understand the language of money so please hit them where it hurts - their pocket and take your business to the many nicer stores in the vicinity . I will never set foot in their premises again !

i took a train all the way to Philly… thinking I could get someone some food from you guys based on the yelp information and Google information that you close at 9 PM it is now 809 and you guys are closed. I’m so pissed walking across the street now. I have to walk back across the street and try to find something from somewhere else change your operation hours on yelp and on Google. Thank you

If you use the regional rail or Amtrak system in Philadelphia, you are probably already familiar with Old Nelson. They are a bit of a staple in the area and they have a number of locations in the area, all of which are in close proximity to the train stations. Their selection of packaged goods is eclectic and vast, and ranges from the standard, to hard to find iteam such as candy bars from Japan or the UK that I have not seen anywhere else in Philly, to the strange...why would I need a 1lb squeeze pouch of coconut butter when I'm at the train station? That said, they are great and they have everything, digging through their selection for fun new items is a regular event for some of my work mates, and they are always getting in something new. Their prepared foods are also quite good, but here is why I knocked off one star. While they do a good job and the food is always tasty, I frequently order salads, in addition to a sandwich, or sometimes on their own. For whatever reason, when you add a salad to your order, it gets de-priotitized and pushed down to the bottom of the list. Many times I will be standing around for as much as 10+ minutes while people who walked in and ordered 5 minutes after I did are getting their sandwiches and leaving. I'm not sure why they do this, but it's quite annoying, so it you order a salad during the breakfast or lunch rush, be prepared to sit and wait while everyone else has their order filled.

Came in at 7:59 and was coldly told the deli was closed. I don’t understand why the deli was closed a hour ahead of closing. I felt uncomfortable in the store by the coldness, lack of greeting and no regard to inform me the deli hours so I know for the future. Will not return
