Best daycare in south Minneapolis! From the staff to the curriculum, I have been a parent with this same daycare for 7yrs now. My family loves this place!
Don’t know why the bad reviews are here . I put my kids in here may and they love it and I do to ! The teachers are very caring and attend to my son’s eating delays . The teachers really care for the kids here I love it here !
I don’t love how few windows the space has, but the quality of the staff is top notch. My kid has been here for more than two years and I’ve become fond of each of his teachers.
My daughter is in pre-2 she hasn't been there a month and I am disgusted with them they Dont watch the children closely my daughter has come home with bruises on her face some child has pushed her and made her fall and made her nose bloody she's missing some of her pants after teachers have changed her. This is totally UNEXCEPTABLE. I am absolutely livid with these people and will be taking my daughter out they Dont care about these children they're there for the money. DOWNTOWN NEW HORIZON IS THE WORST!! I will be making a report!!
My son has been attending this school for about a year and a half, I strongly dislike that every time I drop him off there is someone new that works here, which I find odd seems like they'll hire anybody. Still to this day they never can find my son's pull ups ( which are always in his cubby or backpack) don't know which back pack is his & will put other kids clothes on him when he has accidents. They could care less to help potty train your kids, I asked one of my son's teachers in pre-1 how potty training is going and she replied "oh I just throw a diaper on him". I wouldn't recommend this daycare to anyone, & unfortunately my son has to be here until other daycares have openings.
We LOVE New Horizon Marquette for our 13 month old son. Truly could not be more pleased with the loving care he receives from his teachers. The leadership is great as well. His teachers have been consistent. We receive frequent updates during the day and they seamlessly accommodate me coming to feed him in the mother’s room. We are always welcome to stop in and are greeted with a warm welcome. I do wish it was a little cleaner but I’m willing to look beyond that because the experience is so positive overall. Highly recommend.
We’ve had a wonderful experience at the Marquette New Horizon! The teachers are so caring and communication is great. Recommend!
My daughter had such a great experience at this center, we have now relocated to a different center and all she talks about how she wish she went to Marquette. Note to Marquette staff from my daughter Shaila, "I love playing with toys, playing with my friends. I miss Ms. Emily, Ms. Na'eema and Ms. Alejandra. I want to go back there and play with my friends and sit with Ms. Emily. Mom can I go back there.
My Son was physically assaulted by the teachers at morning till afternoon 2-3/4 toddlers class at lunch time when he just joined he was punished and physically assaulted for refusing the food at the very first day! There are two young teachers here one is dark and another is white looks like Spanish who is the culprit, I reported this to the director but they were not expelled rather the director left the job/or moved to different location. I immediately left that school but I saw these two teachers still working in that school same location. I don't understand why parents trust anyone with their toddlers for while day and it happens everyday! Toddlers cry and fall sick as they are scared and can't express. These two teachers should be expelled and prosecuted. This incidence is there in their records as it was captured in cameras. You can ask Churchill families living towards the park side and they will tell the truth! Please help guys as innocent toddlers are suffering and their parents are ignorant.
I'm so livid with this location. My son has only attended here for a little over a month and he's missing all of his clothes. Laurie is such a lump and doesn't acknowledge me anytime I talk to her about my concerns as a parent. I honestly think she ignores me and I sense some prejudice from her. They apparently have cameras for only 24 hour recording and it resets so I think the teachers might be responsible for the theft going on in this school. I will file a police report next time something is missing because it is unfair that they constantly steal from my family. My son seems to be happy with going here but I just can't shake this bad feeling about this school. They have zero organization in my sons pre-k room 1 and when I get there my son is always with someone new which is so weird that I introduce myself to a new teacher almost daily.
