MG Constructors performed a challenging job quickly and under budget. They were able to coordinate with our roofers and take down our chimney, replace a support beam and rafters, and move roof vents. Timing was critical, and everything was completed before the roofers finished. MG Constructors provided excellent plans for the city permits, and performed high quality work.

Our home inspector discovered horizontal cracking and damage to our foundation in our new home and referred us to MG for the repair. I called Mark feeling very worried, and he immediately alleviated that stress through his confidence, honesty, and candor about the cost. He was upfront that this would be an expensive fix and encouraged me to hire experts like themselves. I had spoken with other contractors who told me to ignore the issue or patch it over. I knew that wasn’t an option. The problem wouldn’t go away and needed to be fixed MG did an inspection and located the damage. They not only proposed fixing it but also addressing the cause of the problem with a French drain, sump pump, and pop-out drain to the street. MG has an amazing team. Sachin, the engineer, ran the project and was responsive and easy to communicate with. They handled all city filings, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. Anthony, the superintendent, was great, good communicator, and professional. Everyone was efficient and doing really good work. They protected the home and cleaned up after the work was done. They were respectful and considerate of neighbors, parking, and other contractors I hired. We hired MG right before Christmas, and they didn’t let the holidays slow them down. They pushed ahead, got as much work done as possible, and completed the entire project quickly. There were no surprise change orders. The only cost increases were filing fees (not in the original contract) and a change I requested to add a backup battery for the sump pump. Payments were easy through Buildertrend, with photos available there too. Invoices were very clear. The entire process was organized, and tech-savvy. I highly recommend going with a reputable company like MG for something as important as your foundation. Do yourself a favor and reduce your stress and get a great result.

Hired MG to do foundation and structural integrity inspection for a home per recommendation of our agent. Sonny and Sachin came for inspection. Both were knowledgeable as well as patient as we discussed various aspects. They educated me with "why behind the what". As a follow-on, I spoke to the firm owner Mark as well. He has been in business for over 20 yrs and provided comprehensive insights going through personal anecdotes to help paint a bigger picture beyond the inspection. I can strongly recommend the firm without any hesitation.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mark Garrison the owner of MG Construction on many projects for the last 20 years He has always provided excellent assistance on various projects for my clients. When it came time to remodel my mom and dad's home, he agreed to take on the task even though it was in Concord CA, a good distance from his home base. and would mean some long distance traveling for his staff and sub contractors. It took some adjustment to make everything work, but throughout the entire process he has tenaciously kept the job going smoothly and exhibited unwavering integrity. I had the pleasure of working with Sudarsan Vakul Srinivasan ("Sonny") for inspections on multiple homes. He's was available at short notice for an inspection on the weekend with a very quick turnaround time for the report (time was of the essence). After the inspection, he makes sure to spend sufficient amount of time explaining all the findings in an easily understandable manner. Sonny is an epitome of professionalism and expertise when it comes to foundation inspections. He was meticulous, patient, caring and thorough when conducting the inspection. He spent two full hours going over each and every detail, plus suit up (in an overall, goggles, work-boots, flashlight, headlight, etc.) and spent an entire hour in the crawling space. He spent so much time in the crawling space that I had got worried for him. He goes above and beyond what is required of an inspecting engineer to make sure he is not overlooking any minor issues/problems/cracks in the foundation, and his plans/blueprints are topnotch with the utmost preciseness and accuracy. Not only his work was five start, I would give him 100 out of 100 for the quality of foundation inspection he did for us (A+). We had the privilege of working with Sonny on a load bearing post removal for my home. Sudarshan Srinivasan ( Sonny) from MG constructors recently provided us Inspection and Engineering services for a property we were considering to own. His work was extremely thorough! He inspects homes from a lens, if it were to be himself and his family living in that property simply put. He was very patient in explaining his findings and provided us context of issues uncovered if they were within expectation or not given the understanding of the terrain of the neighborhood and the lifetime of the house. He was detailed in the steps involved in fixing the underlying issues and a plan and priority of what would need to be fixed first.
