Maggie Chau-Internal Medicine

I am an 80-year-old man who has been treated unfairly like never before. Maggie Chau has no good medical ethics and is arrogant and bad. A man next to her who I don't know if he is her husband or boyfriend is extremely rude. I have questions about the examination report she gave me, but she not only did not explain but called the police to drive my wife and me away. Last Friday (1/3/2025), my wife and I went to Maggie Chau's clinic to pick up the examination report of 12/18/24. Because my wife accompanied me throughout the examination, my wife found that the report did not mention the two projects we had done, but wrote a lot of projects that we had not done. My wife asked to ask Maggie Chan, and the front desk said that the doctor was busy and had no time. We had to make a new appointment. Unexpectedly, after we got home, the front desk called to inform me that our appointment had been cancelled by Maggie Chau. We had to go to the clinic again and ask to see Maggie Chau. Maggle Chau came out and said that she was busy and had no time to explain to us. The actual situation was that there were no other patients in the waiting area except my wife and me. My wife told Maggie Chau that we would not disturb her work, but would just sit quietly in the waiting room and wait for her to be free. Unexpectedly, Maggie Chau said in a bad manner that she only wrote the report and had no responsibility or obligation to explain it, and asked us to find someone else who could understand and explain it to us. Then, she and a man (I don’t know if he was her husband, boyfriend or staff) asked us to leave her clinic. They shouted at us: If you don’t leave, we will call the police. We didn’t get any explanation, so we could only sit quietly and wait. About 10 minutes later, two policemen came. After she talked to the police for 10 minutes, the police drove us away. Our English was not good, and we were unable to explain it clearly to the police. She had time to talk to the police but was unwilling to spend even 1 minute to explain it to us. As a patient, do we have the right to question the medical examination report? As an 80-year-old man, should we be driven away? Is Maggie Chau a qualified doctor? Are Maggie Chau and the man kind people? The last question: Does the medical examination report hide some secrets of Maggie Chau that she cannot tell?

I've been with Dr Chau for years. In and out quickly and it's been no problem getting any referrals to a specialist....The staff has always been very helpful to me also. Dr Chau is a serious physician and some might take her demeanor the wrong way. She is resourceful and is always willing to do what she can for you. Judith Arena

After I got authorisation today to add Dr. Chau as my primary care doctor and the insurance made it retroactive eff 7/1 I called Dr. Chau office to set up appointment. I spoke to 2 different people to explain my medical situation. The woman I spoke to first was rude and not helpful or clear. I spoke to a gentleman next who explained he can't help me and to call back to schedule appointment once my insurance card with Dr Chau name on it comes. I explained to both I have brest cancer and the surgeon scheduled me for surgery in a weeks and need to make a appointment with Dr. Chau. I have insurance card...member number and my insuranced authorized me to see this doctor because of my situation. I explained it all again but the man told me "Sorry it is their policy to not make an appointment until I have new card with the doctors name it". WOW!! That is patient care 100%. Obviously they don't care about people and staff is not trained. It is discouraging but at least I know now this is not a good place to go if I expect quality care. Now I have to call insurance and change doctors all over again.

I would give negative star if it allows, the customer service terribly horrible. I made an appointment for a Tdap shot a month ago which they had to order. 2 days before appointment date, they called to confirm the appointment. Then a day before appointment date, they called to cancel the appointment because they don't have Tdap shot. This is a total bs... Changing primary doctor right away.

To fast did not let me explain what was wrong with me. She rushed through everything. I was mostly there for my back problem all she did was touch my back n tell me just to massage it everyday which I have been doing for one whole year and it still hurts. She is a very nice lady but I do not think I will be going back. Very unsatisfied.

One star is giving too much. She is one of the worst doctors i have ever had, and the front desk team is just as bad. Very biased and judgmental. Don't waste your time, find a doctor who actually cares about YOU and YOUR HEALTH because she does not.

I wish there is a Zero rating possible. Overbooking patients is the common practice here. Visiting this facility 4 times and each time I need to waiting T least 40minutes. The staffs attending the desk were not helpful at all. Avoid this place. Period.

I've always had a great experience with Dr. Chau. The staff is professional and the service is wonderful. In and out in a reasonable amount of time. 5 ⭐

2 stars would be generous. As bad as all the reviews say. Don't go unless there's no choice.
