As a small business owner supporting the food service industry, I sometimes have legal questions about things like contracts, insurance, trademarks, and customer reviews. When a legal issue comes up I go to BookLawyer.com to better understand it and sometimes to find a local lawyer who has experience with the issue. BookLawyer is so helpful because it explains thousands of legal topics in language that is easy to understand and more reliable than a Google search. -WillZulu, Owner, Zeta Java, Inc. Dallas, Texas
The BookLawyer site is great! I own restaurants in Denver and whenever I have a legal question I use BookLawyer to learn more about the law and post a question to receive free answers from lawyers. There is a lot of legal information on the internet but when I go to BookLawyer I know I can trust the quality of the information and answers I get.
I worked with attorneys for many years, so when I posted a question on BookLawyer, I wasn't expecting a response beyond "Legal issues are complicated. Please call to hire a lawyer." Because legal issues ARE complicated and you DO need to pay a lawyer to understand your specific circumstances. If you don't, it's like asking a doctor if you should get an apendectomy because your stomach hurts. But, it's free to ask, and I was feeling completely in the dark about a grandparents rights issue. Asking Google only gave me a maze of irrelevant and unverifiable information. And everybody knows about a counsin's friend who once had x, y, z happen to them. So who knew anything for sure? Well, BookLawyer, that's who. BookLawyer pulled up the exact state statute addressing my concern and highlighted the most relevant details. Just that solid piece of trustworthy information makes me feel so much more confident. I now know that it's worth it to hire a lawyer. It's like a light shone on the path forward, finally, and it feels more empowering than I could've ever imagined. I think that because it's such a deeply personal issue, that just getting reliable information feels like such a beacon of hope.
I absolutely love this concept. It is WebMD for law. I also appreciate the Ask a Lawyer feature that can be so helpful in any situation. I was a paralegal for many years and tell my previous clients about this!
