The second outpost of Jet Black Coffee is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Cool space with great high ceilings. Found street parking easily, hope for some outdoor seating when the weather warms up
This cozy little shop was our safe haven after a wild and wet morning. I’ll be back for the gluten free bagels and incredible service.
The overall review hurts because I really wanted to like this place. It's within walking distance, the coffee is very good, and the seating is fine. Service is fine. But the entire time I was there, the music was just too loud. Again, it's a matter of taste but if I want to read or work on the laptop, I don't want to compete with percussive, fast, off beat rock music which is what was played here. I envied the other patrons who had laptops and had the good sense to bring in noise canceling headphones. $4 a cup with one free refill (entirely reasonable). Vegan, which I like. Not sure I'll give this place another try.
I got a breakfast sandwich on an english muffin and another on a bagel. Both were tasty. They also have a nice variety of Shoofly pastries!
has quickly become my favorite local coffee shop. coffee is great (Juniors beans), specialty drinks are fun and seasonal, and breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Love that it's vegan and I don't have to think about dairy. They also have GF bagels for the sandwiches and usually a GF pastry option or two. inside seating is typical, not huge but roomy enough for the morning rush. service is always excellent - everyone is super nice and does a great job.
i love it here. the drinks are so solid, always have a fun special, pastries are all vegan and delicious, and the staff is wonderful! the space is large without being overwhelming, there’s a sick little skatepark next door, and they have the best breakfast sandwich 😮💨
One of my very favorite spots in Portland — the staff is amazing, the coffee is great, the pastries and breakfast sandwiches are incredible. And it's all vegan! The best.

This place is THE best! All of the drinks are superb, and the staff is super friendly (and so fast at making drinks!). I love this vegan coffee shop - such a gem in the neighborhood. I also appreciate the array of flavors they have - from pistachio syrup to lavender to hazelnut and more.
