I hired Mr. Hudson to represent my son and it was the worst decision I've ever made. First off; he was referred to me by a bails bondsman as a lawyer to assist with high bonds, what I didn't know is he receives kickbacks from the actual insurance companies that bondsmen use, secondly, in the 18 months of representation he has seen my son twice and only requested a bond hearing once at the behest of me and my son (several times), due to his lack of communication, no movement on my son's case, and lies about sending my son his discovery paperwork I stopped making my $2,000 monthly payments (at this point I had already paid him over $16,000) and advised him that we needed some results before we continued to make payments, he then stopped all communications via phone, text, and email w my son and I, so I made another $1,000 in payments so I could have something happening for my son, only to be lied to again and have no movement or communication with my son's case. It has now been 19 months; I've made several written requests for Mr. Hudson to refund me $14,250 out of the $17,000 paid if he did not plan on being a good attorney for my son, I've asked for him to simply just issue a refund and allow us to find a new attorney, both my son and I have asked him for a court date to have him removed as his counsel, all of this communication has been met with no response. We are now working with the NC Bar Association to try and get some resolution to this matter. No matter how desperate you are or what you are told by him (he claims that he's a very high end and amazing lawyer) do NOT hire this man!! I've also spoken with several of his peers who have advised me of his poor reputation and lack of positive feedback from clients (I wish I would have known this from the beginning); hopefully, this helps someone from making the grave mistake that I have and will stop them from wasting almost 2 years of their lives or their child's life with no true assistance in a dyer legal situation.
