I'm reposting because my review is somehow hidden! The builder blocked me and has evidently trying to hide my post. He is NOT who he presents to be. BEWARE OF THIS BUILDER – PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION I hired Martell Willis, owner of HRM Construction, to build my dream home, and it became a devastating experience. He was rarely on-site and showed little to no project management—to the point that he would ask me for updates on my own house. He misrepresented how construction draws were being used, while subcontractors were hired without contracts and often not paid, causing several to quit the job. HRM advertises a 2/10 warranty, but this warranty was never provided. Less than six months after moving in, my home suffered over $100,000 in damage due to construction defects. When I sought help, Mr. Willis stated he “no longer worked for me” and refused responsibility. Additional issues included: A $72,000 retaining wall with problems A roof that leaked repeatedly Over $25,000 kept in advance funds after move-in Numerous outstanding judgments against him (over $400,000 at the time) Legal action was not worth pursuing due to his financial situation. He presents himself as trustworthy, but my experience shows chronic mismanagement and lack of accountability. Do not be misled by charm or marketing—protect yourself and choose another builder.
