We have been having trouble with GFL picking up our trash on the day we were scheduled frequently. Our garbage day was Tuesday. Often times our trash would sit on the curb until Friday. Because it was so frequently late, I thought I must have the wrong day for pickup. Nope, that wasn’t the issue. After my call, my garbage started getting picked up on the correct day for several months. Then on our last week before moving out of state, our garbage was full and out on the curb Monday night. Tuesday by late afternoon I called because by late afternoon, it’s normally picked up. So when it was still sitting at the curb, they told me that they didn’t miss the garbage yet because they still had until 8pm to pickup. The person I talked to at least made a point of concern with route supervisor. They said it takes up to 48 hours. I know it wasn’t 48 hours yet, but because I called before it was actually officially missed, I called Wednesday to ensure they knew I had been missed after all. I was informed that my previous call already had me in queue and that they were planning to pickup on that day. Now it’s Thursday, trash still sits at the curb and now we have an extra garbage can at the curb and trash in our house waiting to go out. We normally wouldn’t be so pushy to get this all resolved, but we are moving and we have more trash than usual. We called again today and the customer service person we talked to wasn’t helpful had snarky tone. I will be glad to be done with GFL. If you have other options, you might be better off.

I was previously a WCA customer before they were purchased by GFL. While the service itself has been satisfactory, their billing and customer service departments are sub-par. I'd configured auto-pay for my account, but the funds were not removed from my account. I was not made aware of this until three months later when my service was temporarily suspended. I logged into the GFL account, confirmed that my billing information was current, and that my account was configured for auto-pay and eBilling. Since I had a balance, I went ahead and paid that to continue service. Concerned that I was not billed despite having auto-pay enabled, valid payment and contact information, I called in for assistance, and after a 20 minute hold, was met with a rude and unhelpful person in billing. She insisted that *I* was at fault, and refused to acknowledge the possibility of any issue on her end. I asked if my garbage could be collected before the next scheduled pickup date, and she inferred that this was possible but made no effort to help me with this. When I called, the immediate issue (making sure my bill was paid and service was restored) had already been resolved by me. What I wanted from the GFL was some troubleshooting on their end to determine: A. What caused this issue? B. What would be done to ensure this didn't happen again in 3 months? The agent did not help me answer either question, insisting that I was somehow to blame... There are 8 other licensed waste removal service providers in my area, I'm sure I can find one to offer

Worst trash service. They will say you disputed a charge from a year ago even though your bank has no record of any disputes. Then threaten to cancel your service if you don't give in to their theft ring. Cancelled service and going with a company with a GOOD reputation and doesn't steal from customers. You people are horrible and people are starting to see it judging from the reviews

Ive never had as many issues with a waste collection company in my 65 year old life. We are two hears into this house and from the first collection stop to this day we have trama...pts...from them driving right by with no pick up at all (= 4 to 6 times) to 1/2 pick up to opening our bin lid and throwing the trash bag against the truch and trash, glass. Old milk etc strune all over the street to these collage educated men throwing an empty trash bin into an ontop of our bushes and lets nt forget the secual harassment anytime I approach them to ask what ........yeah but thanks I guess

Do not use this company. They are the rudest, hardest to work with people. I don’t understand how this business is still open. They keep making excuses and have not picked up our trash for over a month.

Have had missed pickups many of weeks. And when you call customer service tries to tell you what you did wrong. They are a joke
