I wish I could give more stars! Miraj W. slayed my silk press! She was also very funny, kind, and professional! She takes great pride in her work and it shows. I’ll have to come back to see her. Thank you so much for making me feel so pretty!

Mr.C is my most favorite teacher , he has taught me things I need in life as well as in the career path I want to follow. He goes above and beyond for all his students and makes sure everyone is confident in what they do. He creates a safe space for everyone to be themselves. He wants to see all his students succeed and He knows how each student learns and makes sure to adapt to them. He takes the time to know you and listens with open ears. Honestly he makes everyone feel like family and that’s something not everyone can do!

Came in for mani/pedi. Arrived 5:18 was asked to have a seat as they don't start until 5:30. At 5:32 receptionist asked me to sign in. While waiting, one of the students went across to 5below for supplies. This should've been my first sign... I filled out their chemical waiver form shortly after 6 and was finally sent to chair which wouldn't adjust, so she added more water for my feet to be submerged. It was evident they don't train/prepare students on pedicure services and she told the staff she wasn't happy with her assignment. Despite, she was courteous. No base coat, no top coat barely scrubbed off dead skin. Definitely not the best pedicure ever had, but $15, you get what you pay for. Didn't get mani, won't return to rate any other services. Had high hopes, wasn't expecting top salon service, but left super disappointed at 7:00pm.

Ms. Timbers is one of the best educators in the school. She is so dedicated to teaching and setting the example for us to be great! She sets the standards of growth and is open to receiving any questions without making us feel dumb. She’s positive and comes in 100 percent even when she isn’t having the best day. Which shows me that whatever I’m going through, I can be strong & still get work done on my bad days. She is my motivation.🫶🏼

Mr. Grey is an exceptional teacher who truly cares about his students. He has a unique way of making even the most complex topics understandable and engaging. His classroom environment is always positive and encouraging, which makes learning enjoyable. Mr. Grey goes above and beyond to ensure every student succeeds, offering extra help and support whenever needed. He's not just a teacher, but a mentor who inspires his students to achieve their best.

This review is for MS CYRUS Ms. Ward, Ms. Andrews, Mr. Gray, Ms. Gray and all the staff at Center City Empire Beauty School. Truly, if it weren’t for them my experience here probably wouldn’t have been so different. Their energy and care for their students is literally amazing and helps so much with our energy and wanting to attend school every day. The energy is always on 100 and we love them so much for it. Their ability to help us understand and excel is to be very appreciated. Wouldn’t have wanted any other educators here during my experience. Love and light to them all

My cosmetology educator, Ms. Jones, has truly made a lasting impact on my journey. I deeply admire her passion for both teaching and all things cosmetology, as well as the peaceful and supportive classroom environment she created for us. From daily morning discussions to hands-on demonstrations each module, and even a class trip to New York, she always made learning exciting and meaningful. With her guidance, I felt confident and prepared—I even passed my state boards on the very first try! With only nine days left until graduation, I can proudly say that Ms. Jones is hands down the BEST teacher I could have asked for.

If you're expecting a chill, go-through-the-motions type of class, this ain’t it. Ms.Timbers brings intensity, energy, and real-life standards that will either scare you off or shape you maybe both. She’s not the “smile and nod” kind of instructor. She's the “fix your sectioning, clean your station, and do it better” kind. And weirdly enough? You'll thank her for it. What I respect most is she doesn’t treat this like a job. She treats it like a mission. She’s in that classroom for a reason to prepare you for a world that doesn’t care how good you think you are. She wants you to walk out of school knowing how to actually work in this industry, not just pass tests. She holds you to a high standard, but never lets you forget why you started. She’s the kind of educator who won’t let you hide in the back or settle for “good enough.” She sees what you're capable of and doesn’t let you play small even on the days you want to. She’s got high expectations, a sharp eye, and a no-BS attitude but she balances it with a sense of humor and real-world advice that sticks. You’ll leave her class with better technique, more confidence, and a clearer understanding of what it takes to actually make it.

Mr. C is one of the best teachers at center city Empire. Since my first day back, he’s been very inviting and inclusive. I’ve been absorbing so much as a student and I’m able to have a good time doing it thanks to him. I never feel enabled, always supported and pushed into my greatest potential. I’m very grateful to be one of his students. 💓

Worst manucure I’ve ever had. This is not professional at all, I wanted to give it a shot but please don’t waste your time and your money even for $15. In addition, they told me to get there at 5:30 and I had to wait 40min. The student didn’t know at all what she was doing on my nails, didn't know how to file my nails, pressed on them when they weren't dry, put matte coat over the color. Wow
