Shoutout to the staff over here at Dub Academy. I came for an event and the atmosphere was great. The vibes were high that night and really matched the energy of the environment altogether. Then I went back again with some of the DJs I know and the staff gave them a full tour of their space and showed them some pretty cool stuff. Shoutout to Miles and to DJ Grip for sure for always being on top of their game and doing great things here in Austin.
Went to DUB Academy for the summer to attend DJ 101. Had a great experience throughout each session. D Mo gives you the space to ask any questions you may have, along with having the patience and compassion to guide you throughout the non-linear learning process. D Mo is very encouraging and has a deep commitment to making sure his students have all the resources and tools necessary to achieve your goals. I plan on coming back for more classes.

My partner and I did the 2 hour Valentine class that taught DJ. Neither of us have music background. We loved the experience. DMO was an amazing instructor. Would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in DJ or any couple looking for a cool date experience.
Dub Academy is a special place. They aren’t just teaching people how to DJ, they are passing down a craft. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely interested in their students’ growth. I worked mostly with DJ Grip (@djgriptexas) and he has been a fantastic teacher. They have created a supportive community and welcoming culture where people support each other. I started as a beginner and continue to take classes, it is a very engaging hobby I have been able to share with family and friends and might try professionally. I highly recommend it!
We strolled by Dub Academy last week while in town for SXSW. We went in to check it out and everyone there is so AMAZING! They were so helpful and friendly and was explaining all the new DJ equipment. It is so much more than just a Music School. The instructors love their students and obviously love their jobs. I’ve been attending Dub Academy since September, going through their DJ programs. Not only have I felt extremely welcomed and encouraged throughout the process, but having started without any prior knowledge, I feel that I have gained the skills and confidence necessary in a relatively short amount of time. The recent student show cases they have been putting on have been extremely helpful to get real life experience. I would definitely recommend dub academy to any one curious about dj-ing, whether it’s just for fun or a professional goal of yours.
Dub Academy has taught me everything about remixing and the business end of djing and how to become a professional DJ , and they have high end equipment and have gotten me shows some of these goals i never thought i would get to do with my mentors at dub academy everyone who work there is super professional at wants the best for you . And will go the extra mile they work one on one which is amazing i couldn’t imagine doing a class with other students . I been taking classes for a year and half now i never thought i would be so involved with music in general and learn something new every class
I'm new to the area and stumbled into @dubacademy. I was greeted by @djgriptexas (Grippy) and @Scroogemcbuckz Instantly i felt welcomed and excited about the setup they have going on there. Great energy out the gate. I left with more technical knowledge and have to come back to take some classes and help my artist friend record some songs. Places like this are why Austin is so dope. I recommend you pop in and see for your self!
My son attended a week of summer camp at Dub Academy and absolutely love it. The staff were fantastic, and my son learned a ton while he was there. We bought him a small turntable for home, and now he often spends an hour or two mixing in his room -- instead of playing video games! Thanks so much to Dub Academy!
