This company is trash. One of their employees stole a high value carton of handbags. I showed them security footage from the loading facility and the receiving facility. Ramaining carton was torn and visibly tampered with. Their claims department is a joke. They want to pay 10 cents a pound instead of what we paid for the carton. Lets see how much they spend on attorney fees.
If you're a driver and you're thinking about driving for this company don't save yourself the time and hassle and go somewhere else their trucks are always broken down they do not maintain or take care of them you will look for a truck every day to drive they do not know how to load trucks they try to cram as much stuff in trucks as possible I have seen loads come back with over 80 90 different skids in the truck stuff is always damaged and falling getting back to the dock you will have to work on the dock and when it rains be careful not to slide off the dock with a high low it is very dangerous and unsafe the high lows are all broken down old chargers don't work place is very very dirty most of all they will ask you to drive even when it's clearly unsafe to do so they once told me they know it's unsafe but whatever driver wants to drive they will take as many as they can

Awful, drivers are running people off the road and flipping them off. Never do business with such an unprofessional company
These people have the udacity to not call you when a delivery is on its way. Instead they show up at 8pm at night, no calls no messages no heads up. But to drop off a 1,700 lbs hardwood flooring outside of your residence laterally sitting outside in the rain left out like it was trash. Home depot should fire this company for delivering.
In the past, I would have advised any/all clients to use other National Carriers in the LTL market. After the past couple of years my respect for CTI has grown tremendously. While other national carriers (EG YRC/Yellow, Fedex, Tforce) were blaming SCM challenges created by Covid for all of their problems, CTI was operating with far more efficiency and continued getting the job done. While other carriers were taking 3-5 or more days to get in for a pickup, CTI was taking 1-2 days. While others were losing freight, experiencing higher damage claims, and experiencing choke points all over their networks, CTI kept freight flowing through their networks far more efficiently. While the likes of Tforce and some other national carriers have fully outsourced their customer service centers to the Philippines, and failing to properly train their employees at these virtual customer service centers (leading to terrible service), CTI kept their customer service center here in Michigan. Their people are well trained and get accurate updates quickly. Call Tforce's customer service, on the other hand, and you typically won't get any answers. Lastly, while others were price gouging, CTI's rate increases were far less aggressive and more friendly to the small/medium size business environment. They have outshined other national LTL carriers in MANY ways over the past few years, and they deserve a lot of credit for this. If you have unique freight characteristics (over-sized, high value, extremely time sensitive and/or many accessorials needs) then I may still advise you to use a different carrier. If you have freight that is packed well on standard pallets and not extremely time sensitive, then I think you should take a hard look at giving CTI a chance.
